Preview: Hull City vs. Chelsea – Betting Tips, Odds and Predictions

30-09-2016-diego-costa-chelsea
Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from last week’s disappointing defeat to Arsenal when they travel to Hull on Saturday afternoon. The Blues have now lost two games in a row and have slipped to eighth place in the league.

After an ok start, Hull have been thumped by both Arsenal and Liverpool in recent weeks and have only won one game at home all season, albeit against Premier League champions Leicester.

Team News

John Terry is expected to make his much-needed return to the Chelsea side this weekend after recovering from an ankle injury. His return might mean that Gary Cahill drops to the bench. Kurt Zouma is close to a return from injury, but hasn’t been cleared to play yet and is expected to return after the international break.

Mike Phelan has an injury depleted side and he’ll be without Michael Dawson, Moses Odubajo, Allan McGregor, Alex Bruce, Greg Luer and Brian Lenihan for Saturday’s game.

Stats

– Hull have never beaten Chelsea in their eight previous meetings in the Premier League.
– Five of Chelsea’s last seven league goals against Hull have been scored or assisted by Diego Costa and Eden Hazard.
– Hazard has scored in his last three games against Hull.

Score Prediction and Odds

– 1-2 (NetBet odds 15/2)
– Eden Hazard to score first (NetBet odds 19/4)
