Well, the curtain is coming down on the 2019/20 Premier League season but we still have this mouthwatering fixture to look forward to on Wednesday evening (kick off 8.15pm).
Liverpool play Chelsea at Anfield and you would think with the title in the bag for Jurgen Klopp’s side and an FA Cup final appearance for Frank Lampard’s men around the corner that both sides will take it easy.
However, Liverpool’s form has dipped a bit since they won a first title in the 30 years and with the Premier League trophy making an appearance at Anfield on Wednesday as it is their last home game of the season, they will be determined to put on a show.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have probably exceeded expectations in Lampard’s first season in charge. They are still battling for a top four place and the Blues were superb as the beat Manchester Utd 3-1 in their FA Cup semi-final clash at the weekend.
This should be a cracking game with plenty to prove for both squads and it should be one to savour!

Over the years, this fixture has been lauded as one of the finest in the Premier League. They are two of the biggest clubs in Europe and it is always eagerly anticipated. This will be no different.
Liverpool have taken their foot off the gas a little bit since winning the title a couple of weeks ago but Klopp will no doubt have his squad fully focused on the task ahead. After the game, they will be able to lift that coveted Premier League trophy. There is no way Klopp will want a loss under his belt ahead of that ceremony.
Chelsea will be happy to spoil the party, though. The race for the top four is getting closer and Chelsea need a result to keep pace with Leicester. However, you wonder if that FA Cup final win may have taken the edge off and Lampard will have to juggle his squad carefully.
