The PGA Championship is back and being played this year on one of the most brutal golf courses in the world, Kiawah Island in South Carolina.
With the winds forecast to pick up at some point during the week, this should present an extremely stern test for the whole field. In addition to that, Kiawah Island will measure 7,876 yards this week, making it the longest Major Championship course in history.
This course is likely to favour the biggest hitters in the field and will present a completely different test to the one at Harding Park last August, where Collin Morikawa won his first Major title.
Siding with those guys who can flex their muscles will be an advantage but with 20mph gusts predicted, you want players who have an excellent record at playing in windy conditions.

The PGA Championship is televised live everyday from Thursday 20th May to Sunday 23rd May at 1pm BST in the UK on the Sky Sports Golf channel (Sky Channel 405).

The opening round begins at 7am BST on Thursday and it should make for a fantastic spectacle, with the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean thumping the terrain close to Kiawah Island.

Rory McIlroy – 10/1
The Northern Irishman is the favourite to win this week following his superb victory in the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow on his last start.
He may not have won a Major since 2014 but his form is definitely trending in the right direction and he won the PGA here in 2012, winning by a record eight shots. His course form is proven and he is one of the longest hitters in the field. He will go close this week.
Justin Thomas – 12/1
The big-hitting American chalked of his only Major win in the 2017 PGA Championship and he has the skillset to succeed around this tough layout.
He hits it a long way and also won The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in March. Like McIlroy, he is one of the longest and most accurate hitters in the world and if he drives it well, his solid iron play could be his biggest weapon this week. He will be there or thereabouts so the 3/1 about him finishing in the top 5 look good odds.
Tony Finau – 35/1
The likeable American has never won a Major but has come close on numerous occasions. His Achilles heel is that he has only ever won one tournament in his career so when he is in contention he could be found wanting.
However, he is ultra-consistent, hits it a mile and his putting has improved massively in the past couple of years. If he is to win a Major, then this could be the course for him.
With his consistency to the fore, we think he could be the top American player at 20/1.
Tyrrell Hatton – 45/1
Hatton is a fiery competitor who sometimes struggles to keep his emotions in check but he is a terrific competitor capable of mixing it with the world’s best.
He has made giant strides in the past few seasons and has won some of the biggest prizes outside the Majors, such as the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship and the Bay Hill Invitational.
Alongside a pretty rock-solid tee to green game, Hatton possesses a superb touch on and around the greens and he looks a good bet at 5/1 to finish as top Englishman.
Shane Lowry – 70/1
The 2019 Open Champion is another one to keep a close eye on this week. Alongside hoping to qualify for his first Ryder Cup, the Irishman is one of the best wind players in the world, which he showed when winning at Royal Portrush two years ago.
Those experiences will be vital this week when playing in swirling and gusting winds and his ability to flight the ball low will be a huge help over the coming days.
At 14/1, he looks terrific value to be the top GB & Ireland player this week.
