Premier League Betting Preview – Match Week 11

Our expert tipster at NetBet has cast their eye over another exciting weekend of Premier League fixtures as we head into the international break. He’s picked some of the best bets available on NetBet Sport football odds page.

Southampton to draw with Aston Villa  – 47/20

It’s going to be an exciting night under the lights on Friday as we kick off the final weekend of Premier League action before players head off to their countries. Villa were comfortably beaten last weekend by West Ham at home, while Southampton beat Watford, and we’re expecting a very close game here. On paper, Villa should be able to get a result against the Saints, but the hosts will be thinking vice versa. There’s a big chance for both teams here, but we can’t pick between them!

Manchester City to beat Manchester United – 4/6

The face of the Manchester derby has shifted in recent years, and there hasn’t been a game where Manchester City are this big favourites in a long time. It’s been years since the Blue side of Manchester were sub-evens to get the result at Old Trafford, but there is a big gap in performance thus far. Pep Guardiola’s men are, on their day, the best team in the Premier League, while Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side have severely struggled for consistency this year. They were beaten 5-0 at Old Trafford recently by Liverpool, but came back to hammer Spurs away from home last weekend, before drawing with Atalanta in the Champions League. City, on the other hand, have struggled themselves in recent weeks, losing 2-0 to Crystal Palace before they got their win back against Club Brugges in the Champions League. Our NetBet win probability counter has this one heavily leaning towards the visitors, with City currently sitting at 55% and the hosts at a mere 22%, with a draw more likely at 23%.

Brentford to draw with Norwich – 11/4

We won’t be backing Norwich to get a result again this season, so bet on this result with great caution. They’ve got two draws this year with Burnley and Brighton, and if they are to get a result here it will be a 0-0 draw. Brentford have beaten much better teams than Norwich this year, while lower ranked teams have been able to beat the bottom side. Brentford will be disappointed if they can’t get the win here, but we reckon that if Norwich are to get points on the board this year it’ll be teams like this

Chelsea to beat Burnley – 1/4

Stranger things have happened in Chelsea matches than them losing to Burnley at home, but we’d be loath to recommend betting on something like that. We’re talking about teams who are on the opposite ends of the table. The table toppers are facing a visiting side who are just five points from the bottom and in the relegation zone as it stands. This should be an easy day at the office for Tuchel’s men, and we’re backing them to get it done as they have pretty much every day this year.

Crystal Palace to draw with Wolves – 2/1

This is going to be a tough game to call, and we’ve struggled to get a winner which is why we’re picking a draw. Something of a six-pointer that could see Palace head into the higher rungs of the league table if they get the result, they’ll need to beat a Wolves team that are really finding their form again. Sleeper match of the weekend.

Brighton to beat Newcastle – 10/17

Brighton are one of the sides who have looked most improved this year, so we are backing them to get a win over a Newcastle side that are likely already plotting for the future after January or even next summer. Just four points is currently separating Graham Potter’s side from the top four of the Premier League, and even tasting the Champions League spots would be something special for this team. They should beat Newcastle, while West Ham may lose to Liverpool, which would put them just a point behind.

Arsenal to beat Watford – 10/27

Mikel Arteta’s side are looking better with each passing week, and we are sure that they won’t have a problem with one of the league’s weakest sides in Watford. He will likely want a big showcase performance at the Emirates, so we’re looking at a big victory for the Gunners in one of four Sunday games.

Everton to draw with Tottenham – 41/20

We’re looking at two teams who absolutely need a win this weekend after a disaster last outing in the Premier League. Spurs were handled by Manchester United with ease last weekend, although they did get back to winning ways with a close-fought win over Vitesse on Thursday night. Everton were beaten by Wolves, after taking defeats at home to Watford and West Ham, so they’ll be delighted to face a Spurs team that aren’t really in top form of late. Could be a tasty encounter here.

Leicester to beat Leeds  – 7/5

Neither of these sides have looked too hot this year, but we’re surprised at the price for a Leicester City victory. On paper, they’re the better side and we’re going to back them to get a result, but the draw at 12/5 is also worth a look as well if you’re that way inclined.

Liverpool to beat West Ham – 20/29

Travelling to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford has become an unenviable task in recent years, and it’s going to be tough for Liverpool this week. The hosts are riding high at the moment, having hammered Aston Villa last weekend and getting past Man City in the league cup, and they are still unbeaten and likely to progress in Europe. But Liverpool haven’t had too bad of a season either, and they’re just three points behind league leaders Chelsea. It’s unlikely that Burnley will be doing them a favour, but Liverpool will want to keep up the pace with a win in London, and the Hammers won’t give it to them easily. Both of these sides could be described as “inconsistent” thus far, although they both seem to have found their form in recent weeks. Liverpool are capable of putting five past Manchester United at Old Trafford uninterrupted, but then they’ve conceded five between their games with Brighton and Brentford. West Ham under David Moyes have been similar, but they seem to have found the formula recently and they’re actually sitting in a Champions League spot as it stands. Our NetBet win probability counter has this one heavily leaning towards the visitors, with Liverpool currently sitting at 55% and the hosts at a mere 22%, with a draw more likely at 23%.
