England v Albania Preview

There’s not much to discuss in this weekend’s England match, as they take on lower-ranked Albania at Wembley Stadium, where they look to qualify for Qatar 2022. Southgate’s men have been handily putting teams of this ilk to the sword, but they were stunned by Poland last time out to only take a draw, and they were also held to a frustrating draw against Hungary. Albania have done a great job in this group, and may even get a play-off spot, but England are heavily favoured to get a win here, having won the reverse 2-0. Marcus Rashford and James Ward-Prowse have been ruled out of the squad, and as such, Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe has been called up as a replacement, hoping to earn his first cap at age just 21. He’ll probably get more game time against San Marino later in the break, but it’s an exciting move none the less. Expect to see lots of goals from an experimental England side looking to secure World Cup qualification again, and perhaps finally bring football home.

England v Albania Odds

The odds in this game are essentially not worth looking at when it comes to the 1×2 Full Time market. England are unbackable 1/8 favourites to win, while the visiting Albanians are 19/1 underdogs and a draw is priced at 15/2.

Odds are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change.

Winning margin, England to win by 3 goals – 29/10

We reckon that England are going to win this game very comfortably, with a number of younger players joining lads who are looking to establish themselves in a team that may be looking to replace. Don’t be surprised to see Harry Kane get more than one, as well as the likes of Raheem Sterling. However, expect to see the young players get more of a shot against San Marino.

Raheem Sterling to score anytime – 23/20

A comfortable clean sheet and victory is what we expect from England in this one, and we’re going to back Sterling to get on the scoresheet once again for his 19th international goal since 2015 We’re backing Harry Kane to score as well, with the market for him to score anytime not too hot at 5/18. But he could score a header which is priced at 5/1, that could make you big money.
