Tottenham to beat Brighton – 1/2
Tottenham have capitalised on those around them struggling for form, with four consecutive wins leaving them as favourites to claim the fourth and final Champions League spot. They will host Brighton this weekend just a month after winning 2-0 at the Amex, with every win crucial for Antonio Conte’s side who have games against Liverpool and Arsenal on the horizon. Although the Seagulls beat Arsenal 2-1 in their last outing, we don’t expect them to be able to contain a ruthless Spurs. With Harry Kane turned creator and Son Heung-Min scoring six in his last three, it’s not the ideal time to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Brentford to beat Watford – 6/4
Brentford are ending the campaign on a high, with four wins in their last five leaving them closer to the top half than the bottom three. Thomas Frank’s side will look to build on impressive wins over Chelsea and West Ham with a trip to Watford this weekend. The Hornets simply cannot afford to keep losing, but it doesn’t appear that they’ll have enough to save their Premier League status. They have lost four of their last five and have the worst home record in the league, along with the most goals conceded on home soil. It’s hard to make a case for them.
Bournemouth to beat Middlesbrough – 1/1
Three points in this fixture could go a long way to securing Bournemouth’s automatic promotion. They have lost just once in their last seven and will host a travelling side that perform far better on home soil. Dominic Solanke is in fine form with four goals in his last six games, and the 24-year-old will be confident in firing the Cherries back to the top-flight this season. Middlesbrough are still fighting for the play-offs, but back-to-back 1-0 defeats suggests their form could be dipping at a crucial time.
Huddersfield to beat QPR – 1/1
The play-offs are now a distant memory for QPR, who were handed a fifth defeat in a row by Preston last weekend. They will travel to face a Huddersfield team still in with an outside chance of automatic promotion, with three points certain to keep the pressure on second place Bournemouth. The hosts have lost just once in their last 11 home games, and a 2-0 win over Luton last time out suggests they have aspirations of catching those above rather than worrying about those below.
Sunderland to beat Shrewsbury – 20/27
After a small sticky patch in February, Sunderland have been back to their best in recent weeks and are fighting for a place in the play-offs. They are unbeaten in eight league games since defeat to MK Dons and their record on home soil is bettered only by Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth. They will host a Shrewsbury side this Friday that sit comfortably in mid-table, with just two wins away from home since the turn of the year. We expect Sunderland to come flying out the gates at the Stadium of Light.
Wigan to beat Cambridge – 10/27
Wigan are not far off wrapping up the League One title, and they are even closer to securing an automatic promotion spot. They will be strong favourites going into this tie with a Cambridge side even decent form of their own. Despite the visitors having won three of their last four, Wigan will pose an entirely different challenge for Cambridge. The Latics have consistently proven themselves the most well-rounded outfit in League One this season, and they’ll be looking to finish the campaign on a high.
Exeter to beat Colchester – 20/29
Whilst automatic promotion is looking more and more likely for Exeter with each week, they are also still within touching distance of the League Two title. They will look to make it four wins on the bounce and seven in their last nine against Colchester this weekend. The visitors have lost three of their last five and face a difficult challenge ahead as they prepare to face an Exeter side that have lost just once in their last 18 league games.
Port Vale to beat Hartlepool – 11/10
Port Vale will be concentrating on solidifying their spot in the top three, but seven wins in their last eight suggests they have what it takes to earn promotion to League One. They will travel to face a Hartlepool side with one win in eight, with some indifferent form leaving them hovering in mid-table mediocrity. No team has picked up more points than Port Vale in the last 10 games, and the visitors will be looking to put some breathing space between themselves and the play-offs.
