Tottenham have had a superb start to the Premier League campaign and they remain undefeated in their opening six games. However, their momentum may have stalled slightly as they were beaten 2-0 by Sporting Lisbon in their second Champions League outing. Antonio Conte’s side will look to bounce back this weekend and could go into the international break top of the league should other results go their way.
Leicester make the trip to London on a run of five consecutive league defeats, which culminated with a 5-2 battering at the hands of Brighton last time out. They sit rock bottom of the league with just one point, and only Bournemouth have a worse defensive record than the Foxes. Brendan Rodgers will need to turn things around quickly, as pressure is beginning to mount on the Northern Irishman.
Leicester’s confidence won’t be helped by their poor recent record in this fixture. They have lost four of their last five against Spurs, conceding a minimum of three goals in all of those defeats. As well as looking defensively vulnerable, the visitors this weekend have barely looked a threat in the final third. Questions have begun to arise over whether Jamie Vardy’s time might be up, with the 35-year-old having failed to score in six appearances this season.
In contrast, Harry Kane has got off to a flying start, and the England captain looks primed for another fruitful season in North London. When Heung-Min Son hits form, and you factor in the attacking quality of Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, this looks a dangerous Spurs side. It’s difficult to see how this despondent Leicester team can take anything away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With their superior recent record in this fixture, Spurs will enter the tie as strong 4/9 favourites. A struggling Leicester are 11/2 underdogs, with a draw priced at 33/10. Harry Kane is leading the odds at 13/5 to open the scoring, with Tottenham’s number 10 16/1 to bag a hat-trick.

Spurs have conceded in six of their last eight wins over Leicester. They haven’t been impenetrable this season, and the Foxes have enough quality with the likes of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes to cause problems, but Conte’s side have the firepower to come out on top.
