modric for croatia

It’s World Cup accumulator and score prediction time! There doesn’t look to be too many surprises brewing on November 23rd, but we’ve done our best with the score predictions to help you win yourself a prize.

With NetBet’s free-to-play World Cup Score Predictor, four correct score on a single matchday wins you a share of the £1000 daily cash prize! Not to worry though, two or three correct scores will get you a £5 or £20 Free Bet, so there’s plenty to play for.

Morocco vs Croatia

This is probably the only game of the day that could go either way. Morocco have a better squad than most think, but Croatia’s experience should get them over the line. A lack of a real goalscorer will be what stops Croatia from progressing deep into the tournament, but their strong defence and midfield should see them navigate the group stages successfully.

We expect them to control proceedings against Morocco with a midfield made up of Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic and Mateo Kovacic. If they can get their noses in front, they will lock up shop and take a 1-0 win.

Croatia win – 1.84

Score prediction: 0-1

Germany vs Japan

There is actually a lot to like about this exciting Japan squad – they’ve just had some really bad luck being drawn alongside Spain and Germany. It’s not the easiest opening game, but we think they’ll give a good account of themselves despite not taking any points.

Not enough people are talking about Germany as real candidates to lift the trophy. They have an incredibly strong squad from front to back and boast unrivalled winning experience. They should navigate this one fairly comfortably and may even be able to rest a few key players ahead of the crucial game against Spain.

Germany win – 1.46

Score prediction: 2-0

Spain vs Costa Rica

It’s an ideal start for Spain. Costa Rica will of course give it their all, but the quality discrepancy is enormous. There looks to be a lack of goals in Luis Enrique’s side, but given how well they dominate possession, they should be able to carve out enough chances to put a few past the world’s number 31.

Costa Rica have had some impressive World Cup appearances, namely a quarter-finals exit in Brazil in 2014. However, we’re not sure they will be able to compete in this tough group and may even bail out without a point.

Spain win – 1.16

Score prediction: 3-0

Belgium vs Canada

This is just a really fun match. Canada are an emerging nation with some serious talent. Alphonso Davies will of course be their main man, but keep an eye on Lille’s Jonathan David up top. There are some major clubs keeping tabs on the young striker – he could end up adding some serious value to his transfer fee with a good tournament.

Belgium should pick up the win, but it will be far from an easy task. Unfortunately for Canada, Roberto Martinez has Kevin De Bruyne at his disposal. He might be the best midfielder on the planet right now and will almost certainly carve out chances, either for himself or others. This is the game of the day for us.

Belgium win – 1.44

Score prediction: 2-0
