Tunisia vs France

Tunisia made its way into the World Cup courtesy of a play-off win against Mali. Their World Cup record currently consists of 2 wins out of 15 matches. They also made it to the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations in early 2022. It should go without saying though that they are likely to struggle against the current World Champions.

France with Olivier Giroud who recently equalled Legend Thierry henry’s record for the national side and Kylian Mbappé will no doubt be looking forward to this fixture. They have had terrible luck with injuries but we don’t think this will have too much impact on this particular game.

France win – 1.38

Score prediction – 3-1

Denmark vs Australia

Christian Eriksen is among Denmark’s best all-time players and this is his first major tournament since his health scare in the Euros in 2021. Eriksen has 115 caps where he has amassed a total of 38 goals. He has also been in fine form for Manchester United; therefore, he is undoubtedly someone to look out for if Denmark are to qualify for the latter stages.

Denmark are considered to be the dark horses by a lot of people for this World Cup, and they just might surprise everyone as they have made a habit of doing this throughout the years.

Denmark drew their first game against Tunisia, despite having most of their star players available and playing some nice football in parts of the game. They will be very aware that not getting any other result than a win might not be good enough so they will be going all guns blazing here one does feel.

Denmark win – 1.44

Score prediction – 3-1

Poland vs Argentina

Despite great things being expected from Messi and Argentina, they lost their first game against Saudi Arabia. This is arguably one of the greatest upsets in World Cup history. Therefore, Messi and his team will attempt to make as deep a run as possible in this year’s World Cup. It is Messi’s last chance to seal his legacy as the undisputed GOAT by finally winning a World Cup.

That said, images of Messi’s swollen ankle were circulating on the internet before the first game, meaning he is playing through an injury. This is a must-win for Argentina if they are to go through to the next stage.

While Poland has a formidable team, star man Robert Lewandowski missed a penalty against Mexico. Moreover, Argentina’s arsenal consists of Lautaro Martinez, Di Maria and Lionel Messi, who will be looking to make amends for what was a disastrous start to their campaign. Spain famously lost their first game of the 2010 World Cup before winning the final as the stand-out performers, so Argentina will be using inspiration like this to hopefully fire them to glory.

Argentina win – 1.43

Score prediction – 3-1

Saudi Arabia vs Mexico

Saudi Arabia’s entrance into the World Cup was a smooth one, having qualified through two group stages.

Despite that, nobody gave Saudi Arabia much chance since they were considered, fairly to be the weakest team in their group. However, they shocked the world when they defeated the South American champions Argentina and ended their 36-game winning streak.

Will Saudi Arabia pull off another emphatic win? Chances are, probably not. Mexico is still the favourite to win because they have won all three games against Saudi Arabia in the past, and they are more experienced in the tournament with a much stronger squad.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia also had player Yasser Al-Shahrani injured after a rough collision with their goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais, who also took a minor injury to his knee. While they played their hearts out in the first game, it is unlikely that they will have the energy to do the same in this game.

Mexico win – 1.61

Score prediction – 1-3
