Aston Villa vs Tottenham

This is a crucial clash in the battle for European football, and we’re siding with the hosts in front of a packed Villa Park. Spurs managed to end a four-match winless run last time out against Palace, but they have been poor on the road. They travel to the Midlands having lost six and drawn two of their last eight away games.

In contrast, Villa have won five consecutive home games without conceding a goal, including an impressive 3-0 win against Newcastle. We like the look of the hosts in a narrow win.

Score prediction: 2-1

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth

This is a tough one to call. Both are safe from relegation, likely taking any edge out of the game. We’ve just about given the nod to Palace purely on the basis it’s at home. Selhurst Park is as tough a ground as any to visit and Palace have lost just once in their last eight games on home soil – a 1-0 defeat against Man City.

Bournemouth put together a brilliant run of results to avoid the drop, but now they are safe, we can see them having an indifferent end to the campaign.

Score prediction: 2-1

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

After six straight defeats, Chelsea finally won a game. They will take some confidence from it but face a tricky tie against a Forest side fighting for their lives. Unfortunately for Forest fans, they haven’t had an awful lot to cheer on the road. They have won the fewest points (6), scored the least number of goals (8), and conceded the joint most (41) away from home this season.

Chelsea were better against Bournemouth and will be looking for a solid end to the season. However, they have nothing to play for. There could be an upset, but we’ve settled on a score draw.

Score prediction: 1-1

Manchester United vs Wolves

The wheels have come off United’s season somewhat, but they have been very good consistent at Old Trafford. In 2023, Erik ten Hag’s side have won 16 of their 19 home games without defeat, keeping nine clean sheets in the process.

Julen Lopetegui looks an astute appointment, but Wolves have also done their best work at home. They have lost four of their previous five away games, including a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Brighton most recently. They will make themselves difficult to break down, but United’s home record speaks for itself.

Score prediction: 1-0
