Spain to beat Scotland – 1.21

The story of this group so far has been Scotland. They are storming toward the automatic qualification spot after a famous win in Glasgow earlier this year. Will they have their party spoiled this week by this Spanish side? Although Spain’s 7-1 victory in Georgia and 6-0 win against Cyprus in the previous international break put them in a good place, they will still want to win this one to keep themselves in the second qualification spot.

Spain’s strong goal-scoring record contrasts with Scotland’s solid defence, having conceded just once in five qualifiers and zero from open play. Scotland are the only team to keep Spain from scoring in the qualifiers, however, the pressure is on the Spanish at home to make sure they win this crucial encounter. Spain’s young players have been performing well at club level and will want to win this one at home to take them one step closer to Germany 2024.

France to beat the Netherlands – 2.18

France boast one of football’s strongest squads and go into this Euros after a gutting final loss at the last World Cup. France lead Group B, six points ahead of Ronald Koeman’s team, although they have played an extra game. Les Bleus stand out as the group’s top scorers with 11 goals and a flawless defensive record. They will have their eyes firmly set on winning the Euros next summer and securing another international trophy with this unbelievable squad.

Oranje, on the other hand, have their only defeat in qualifying against France, with a 4-0 loss at Stade de France earlier this year. The Netherlands are in a transitional phase under new coach Koeman. He’s still got a lot to prove in the international role. France will want to make it a flawless qualifying campaign and it’s something you could see happening as they cruise towards the Euros. They have the strongest squad in the world and continue to prove it.

Albania to draw with Czech Republic – 2.87

Albania currently sit top of the group but it’s first versus second in this one. The two sides drew in Prague the last time they played each other leaving Albania top of the group. It’s two very defensive-minded teams here, so it’s likely to be a low-scoring affair. If anyone’s going to sneak a goal, it’s going to be the Albanians.

Last time, there were only 3 shots on goal in the whole game. As it’s first versus second, both teams would probably take a draw and move on to more winnable games in the group. It’s going to be a tense and cagey affair with neither side willing to lose this one. It’s got a draw written all over it.

Norway to beat Cyprus – 1.16

Norway have, debatably, the two best players in the world in Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard, who threw down last weekend. With four goals in five games, Haaland is a prime candidate to find the net for Norway and get them one step closer to qualification. While they are currently third in the group behind Scotland and Spain, a win for Norway could put the pressure on.

It would be their third on the bounce for this Norwegian side and would take them clear at the top. Cyprus on the other hand have been struggling in the group. After a 6-0 humbling last time out against the Spanish, Cyprus are yet to win a game in the group and you can’t see it coming any time soon. Norway are rightly a clear favourite for this one.

Portugal to beat Slovakia – 1.20

Portugal beat Slovakia last time around in this fixture to take them into first place. For Portugal, it is a chance to continue a perfect qualification campaign. They will have Bernardo Silva back from his injury, and Roberto Martinez will have a full squad to choose from. They beat Luxumberg a whopping 9-0 last time out and have high hopes for the Euros in Germany. This game won’t have quite as much pressure on it which could bring out the best from this Portugal side.

For Slovakia, they are unbeaten apart from the last time they faced this Portuguese side and will want to push the table leaders all the way. If not, at least consolidate their second-place finish and book themselves a place at the Euros. However, Portugal could well be the best side in Europe so they will want to win this one and certainly have the quality to brush the Slovakians aside.
