Bayern Munich to beat Galatasaray – 1.18

It’s looking good for Bayern Munich. They have nine points from a possible nine and sit top of Group A. The German side have been looking back to their best after a fairly slow start by their lofty standards. However, the German champions are hitting their groove. Last weekend’s dismantling of Borussia Dortmund was a show of strength and determination from Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Harry Kane has hit the ground, not just running, but racing for the Golden Boot. He scored a hat-trick against their Der Klassiker rivals taking his tally to a whopping 17 goals in 14 appearances. An insane goal-to-games ratio for the England star and something that will keep the Galatasaray defenders up at night. For the traveling side, they have been on a good run of form. But this will be a step too far, despite their great recent results.

Atletico Madrid to beat Celtic – 1.29

Celtic have had a torrid time away from home, and after a draw the last time these two sides met, Diego Simeone’s team will want to put things right in front of their home crowd; something they are more than capable of doing. The Spanish side come into this one off the back of a league defeat to Las Palmas, a very disappointing result that leaves them fourth and six points behind the leaders.

But, they face a Celtic side that is yet to win a Champions League match away from home and has famously struggled to get anything on the road. Although they continue to dominate in the league, these European trips are a different story and this side will struggle to get anything against a club filled with so much quality. Without their home support, it’s going to be a long night for Celtic.

PSG to beat AC Milan – 2.24

It was a massive summer for PSG and they shifted two of the biggest players in world football. They also started poorly, but now with fewer big stars to keep happy, the side looks generally better balanced and they have a chance of going all the way this season. After a crushing defeat at the hands of Newcastle, this side has turned things around. They came out convincing 3-0 winners against Milan the last time these sides met and this week will be no different.

For this Milan side, they have had a torrid few weeks, including defeats to Juventus and Udinese and a draw away at Napoli. The Milan side has struggled and a visit from the in-form French champions will not be what they want to get back to winning ways. PSG will be up for this one.

Manchester United to beat Copenhagen – 1.77

You never know what to think about Manchester United. While they are once again in the turmoil period of their post-Fergie cycle; they have so much quality bolstering their ranks. Saturday’s win away at Fulham was exactly what they needed to breathe a bit of life back into this side. But, you just never know what team is going to turn up.

They were so lucky to win this fixture at Old Trafford, however, I’d argue it’s easier for them to play away from home at the moment. Away from the toxic and tumultuous atmosphere Old Trafford seems to have gained. They have a chance to get away and breathe the fresh air, and get stuck into this one without the crowd on their back. This side has a habit of pulling results out of the burning wreckage and this is another perfect opportunity. It’s now or never for them in this year’s competition.

Arsenal to beat Sevilla – 1.28

This will be a tough one for Mikel Arteta’s men. We’ll see how well they can bounce back after a disappointing result in the league last weekend. It’s time for the Gunners to put a statement win down this week; something they are more than capable of pulling off. They have had a great home record this season, so in front of the Emirates faithful, this could be a chance to put down a marker of steely determination.

But Sevilla are far from an easy task. The Spanish side arrive in decent form. But the last time these two sides met Arsenal ran away 2-1 winners in a victory they deserved. It will be more of the same this week in London. Their quality will shine through as they prove a point and try to forget about…VAR.
