Arsenal to beat Luton – 1.22

The Gunners travel to Kenilworth Road knowing a win would keep them on top for another week. Mikel Arteta’s side grabbed top spot in the Premier League after taking down Wolves over the weekend. The last time these two teams squared off in the top tier was over 30 years ago, and Arsenal will fancy their chances in their great run of form, with the team firing on all cylinders.

Luton, led by Rob Edwards, are having a good season by their standards. They were written off as relegation candidates, but are not currently in the relegation zone, which is way better than expected in preseason. Kenilworth Road, Luton’s home, has been a tough place to go. Even Tottenham and Liverpool had a hard time there. Now, it’s Arsenal’s turn to try their luck. They will fancy themselves to come away with all three points here and continue their run at the top.

Brighton to beat Brentford – 1.92

It’s going to be a good battle on the south coast as the travelling Brentford search for the points here. The Seagulls are returning to home surroundings after narrowly losing out to Chelsea 3-2 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, while Brentford will be seeking back-to-back wins following their 3-1 home win against Luton. On their day, Brighton can go toe to toe with any side in the league and will have too much for Brentford here after a tough few matches and unlucky results.

Brentford encountered a challenging phase in the early part of the English top-flight season. The Bees found themselves unable to secure a victory in any of their six matches from late August to early October. This period included three setbacks against formidable opponents such as Newcastle, Everton, and Manchester United, as well as three draws. Brighton will fancy themselves at home again this week to take all three points.

Liverpool to beat Sheffield United – 1.19

Liverpool’s recent 87th-minute heroics by Trent Alexander-Arnold secured their 11th consecutive home win in the 2023-24 season, adding another chapter to their memorable Premier League campaign. The Anfield fortress remains unbreached, but Liverpool’s away form tells a different story. With only one victory in their last six away games across all competitions, the Reds have shown vulnerability on the road.

The Blades, however, face the challenge of breaking a five-game losing streak against Liverpool in the Premier League, with their last triumph dating back to a 2003 EFL Cup clash. Liverpool have been back to their best this season and will want to continue the bounce after their rousing late show at the weekend. With Sheffield United struggling to climb the table, they will struggle to keep a momentum-filled Liverpool side at bay.

Manchester City to beat Aston Villa – 1.73

After an all-time Premier League classic on Sunday, Manchester City will be keen to bounce back. They got sucked into Tottenham’s style and the basketball-style game meant they weren’t able to dominate in their City-like way. Pep Guardiola’s comments after signified he wasn’t all that impressed with the performance. On the other hand, Villa are on a great run of form and will be pushing hard. They are yet to lose at home this season.

But, you should never write the champions off. After a couple of difficult matches, it’s one of the most worrying times to take them on. They have gone three consecutive Premier League games without a victory, settling for three score draws against football heavyweights—Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham. The string of draws has added an unexpected twist to City’s campaign, raising questions about their usual dominance. But that’s when they normally come into their own, and with the star quality on show, you can see them bouncing back here.
