Newcastle to beat Fulham @ 2.24

In this FA Cup clash, Fulham and Newcastle, both mid-table in the Premier League, go head-to-head for a spot in the fifth round. Despite their proximity in the standings, Newcastle have struggled this season, currently sitting in tenth place. They have endured a tough stretch, losing four consecutive league games and falling 14 points behind the top four.

After disappointing performances in the Champions League and the Carabao Cup, Eddie Howe’s team will be aiming to revive their season with a strong FA Cup run. With aspirations on Tyneside rising, it’s important Eddie Howe gets this one right. He certainly has a squad filled with the quality to go all the way, and after Fulham play midweek, the Magpies will be fresher and raring to go.

Leeds to beat Plymouth @ 1.32

Promotion hopefuls Leeds take a break from their Championship pursuits this weekend, eyeing a journey to the fifth round of the FA Cup. Facing them are Plymouth, aiming to orchestrate an upset against their league rivals. Leeds are currently sitting fourth in the Championship with their eyes firmly set on the automatic promotion spots above them. Eager for a swift return to the Premier League after last season’s relegation, they are in formidable goal-scoring form, ranking among the top teams.

In contrast, Plymouth, comfortably in 15th place, are almost as far from the relegation fray as they are play-off contention. The visitors have won just twice in their last seven games as they chase a magic night in the Cup.  However, Leeds have been in great form and will be hopeful to navigate this one pretty easily against a side much lower in the table. They have been formidable at home and even on a bad day, they should squeeze past a decent Plymouth side.

Wolves to beat West Brom @ 1.97

Two rivals, West Brom and Wolves, clash in the FA Cup, vying for a spot in the fifth round. This long-awaited encounter marks their first meeting in three years, promising excitement for fans. West Brom, eyeing a return to the Premier League after three seasons, currently sit fifth, actively competing for a play-off spot. Wolves, under the leadership of Gary O’Neil, are sat in 11th position in the league, only three points behind eighth-placed Man United.

In the third round, West Brom dominated Aldershot Town with a 4-1 victory, while Wolves faced a tougher challenge, needing a replay to beat Brentford 3-2 after extra time. With a historical head-to-head record of 162 matches, West Brom have 65 victories, and Wolves have 53. The last meeting in 2021 ended in a draw, while their last FA Cup clash in 2007 saw West Brom secure a 3-0 victory. However, with Wolves playing some good stuff, you fancy their quality to shine through here.

Leicester to beat Birmingham @ 1.40

Leicester and Birmingham, with vastly different Championship campaigns, cross paths in the FA Cup fourth round, setting aside their league pursuits for a shot at a place in the next round. Leicester are dominating the Championship, comfortably leading the table, while Birmingham are struggling in 20th place, aiming to steer clear of relegation. Recent managerial changes, with Wayne Rooney replaced by Tony Mowbray, hint at Birmingham’s quest for stability.

In the third round, Birmingham secured a 2-1 win against Hull City, needing a late Koji Miyoshi goal in extra time. Leicester, facing Millwall, triumphed 3-2 with goals from Cesare Casadei, Ricardo Pereira, and Tom Cannon. But, coming into this it’s hard to look past Leicester. The Foxes have been dominant across the board and for Birmingham, there is so much going on behind the scenes.

Bristol City to beat Nottingham Forest @ 3.41

Bristol City sets the stage for another potential giant-killing act this Friday as they host Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. Both teams, grappling in their respective leagues, see the cup as a chance to ignite their seasons. Currently placed 13th in the Championship, Bristol City are aiming to leverage the cup momentum. With a history in the FA Cup that lacks major breakthroughs, their last appearance in the Round of 16 dates back to the 1993/94 season. However, recent years have seen them reach the fifth round three times in the last five seasons.

Nottingham Forest, currently 16th in the Premier League, are facing a challenging league season. In the 2021/22 season, Forest made it to the Quarter-Finals, losing 1-0 to Liverpool. But at home, in front of their fans, its going to be a huge clash and one Bristol City will feel quietly confident about winning.
