Premier League Matchday 24 – Betting Tips

Premier League Matchday 24 Betting Tips

After a week of explosive European action, the Premier League returns with all representatives still going strong in competition on the continent. But that will be at the back of their minds as they prepare to take to the pitch once more, to fight for their place in the world’s toughest division.

While the relegation scrap is being narrowed down every week and looks to be limited to four or five teams, the top of the table is as narrow as ever, with just a few results able to turn the tide on a team’s fortune or misfortune.

NetBet is your number one destination for football betting this weekend. We have got all the sports betting odds and markets you need to immerse yourself in the Premier League. And why not try our Acca Boost feature, to add even more excitement to your experience!

Aston Villa to beat Wolves @ 2.09

Midlands derbies rarely fail to live up to the hype and we expect this one to be as heated as ever. Villa have been stretched thin by their exploits in Europe, but this is exactly what they aim to replicate this season as they strive to re-join the top four.

Currently in eighth, they face only a four-point deficit to fourth, and they will want to begin making up ground against Wolves this weekend. The Wanderers are currently in the relegation fight, sitting 18th and losing their last four games. They will be more determined than ever to put on a show with their talented squad, but the charge may have to wait for next week, as we are backing Villa in this one.

Arsenal vs Manchester City: Draw @ 3.41

Likely the main event of the weekend, the rumble in North London is the one everyone is looking forward to. City are back in the Top 4 and looking to retain their status as a permanent fixture, despite the title being likely out of their grasp this campaign. But Arsenal have not given up hope just yet and will fiercely chase down the six-point gap to league leaders Liverpool.

Neither team has been as consistent as they would like, with injuries and poor performance halting their progress at stages. But Arsenal look to be back to business and City have splashed the cash in January to avoid further stutters. It is a tough one to call, so we think the points could be shared on Sunday.

Brentford to beat Tottenham @ 2.01

Tottenham fans will be sick and tired of hearing the word ‘Spursy’, but their characteristic inconsistency this season has not done them any favours in shedding the unwanted label. Their position of 15th in the table, just a couple of losses away from the relegation battle, has seen them be the butt of rival fans’ jokes yet again.

Without a win in seven Premier League games, pressure is mounting and Ange Postecoglou is in dire need of some points. But faced with a tough Brentford side in excellent form, we just do not think this week will be the one in which the turnaround begins.

Nottingham Forest to beat Brighton @ 2.40

Disguised as a normal Premier League clash, this early kick-off is in fact a wolf in sheep’s clothing, potentially being one of the more fascinating match ups of the weekend. Fans were waiting for Forest to show signs of weakness and that came last weekend, as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side slipped to a shock 5-0 defeat at high-flying Bournemouth.

As such, the pressure is now on against Brighton, a team capable of beating anyone in the league on their day. However, Fabian Hurzeler’s team have yet to find consistency, following up a 3-1 win at Manchester United with a shock 1-0 home defeat to Everton. As such, we are backing Forest to return to winning ways at the City Ground.
