Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev are set to do battle in Las Vegas on Saturday night in one of the most intriguing main events of the year.
Since losing his middleweight title back to Israel Adesanya at the start of 2023, Pereira has been making a statement on route to winning and defending the light-heavyweight belt on multiple occasions.
The Brazilian is a rare multiple-weight world champion, but has won his belts almost exclusively by beating strikers like Israel Adesanya and Jiri Prochazka. As such, Magomed Ankalaev’s wrestling style makes for a much more interesting matchup on Saturday night.
