Matheus Cunha to have over 1.5 shots on target for Wolves vs Manchester City @ 3.75
Despite being persistently linked with a move to Manchester United, Cunha remains in sparkling form. The Brazilian scored once and assisted twice in Wolves’ 3-0 victory over Ipswich, which was the sixth consecutive top-flight win for Vitor Pereira’s side. While a visit to City this evening represents a daunting task, Cunha and his colleagues can certainly cause problems at the Etihad. Cunha ranks fifth in the Premier League this season for shots on target with 40, which makes the odds here all the more tempting.
Alex Iwobi to score or assist for Fulham vs Aston Villa @ 2.75
Iwobi is enjoying by far his best Premier League campaign to date, with nine goals and six assists in 34 matches. The Nigerian is central to all of Fulham’s attacking play, combining flair and creativity with a high work rate. Against a Villa defence looking to recover from a shock 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-finals, Fulham’s key man could enjoy his trip to Birmingham for Saturday’s early kick-off. Iwobi has scored or assisted in three of the Cottagers’ last four matches.
Southampton to beat Leicester @ 2.92
In truth, this is a battle between two of the poorest Premier League sides in recent history. Both Leicester and Southampton’s place in the Championship next season is confirmed, with little more than pride to play for at the King Power. But Southampton have at least shown signs of life in recent weeks, drawing 1-1 at West Ham and then losing 2-1 to Fulham only by virtue of a stoppage-time winner from Ryan Sessegnon. Amazingly, Leicester have lost nine matches in a row at home without scoring. In fact, the last time Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side scored a Premier League goal in front of their own fans was on December 29, a record which almost beggars belief in the modern day. So we are tipping the Saints to record only their third win of the campaign.
Alexander Isak to score for Newcastle vs Brighton @ 2.22
It is no secret that Isak has been below his supreme best in recent weeks, but he has still been among the goals. The Swede scored in the 3-0 win against Ipswich last time out, which means he has netted in three of Newcastle’s last six Premier League matches. The Magpies’ talisman is up to 22 goals for the season and with Champions League qualification a distinct possibility, motivation levels should be at an all-time high in Eddie Howe’s squad. Furthermore, Brighton have conceded 13 goals in their last five matches, last keeping a top-flight clean sheet on February 22. Over to you, Alexander…
