Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan Preview

PSG are riding the crest of a wave ahead of this fixture after claiming the Coupe de France title on the weekend, beating Reims 3-0 in the final.

Luis Enrique’s well-oiled machine has secured a domestic treble in 2024-25 and even wrapped up the Ligue 1 crown as early as April 5.

So it is no surprise that PSG are the pre-match favourites, especially after their superb two-legged displays against Premier League trio Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal.

The Parisians beat the Gunners 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals, achieving victory with a degree of comfort that Inter certainly did not have in the previous round.

Simone Inzaghi’s side were part of arguably the greatest Champions League knockout tie in history, climbing off the canvas to win 7-6 on aggregate vs Barcelona.

Francesco Acerbi’s last-gasp equaliser at San Siro after Inter had surrendered a 2-0 lead was quite incredible, but the Nerazzurri will know that a similar overall performance in Munich would likely end in disaster.

PSG are the complete package these days, with marauding full-backs Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes perfectly complimenting the midfield trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz.

And up top, Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos represent arguably the finest array of forward options seen anywhere in Europe right now.

But lest we forget, Inter’s XI is strong, and also well-rested after heavy rotations on the weekend against Como, where a 2-0 win was not enough to pip Napoli to the Serie A crown.

Yann Sommer, Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu are a spine to be feared, while the strike duo of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram can put any defence to the sword.

Martinez is the leading scorer among players set to feature in the final with nine goals, while Dembele has eight for PSG.

Amazingly, PSG and Inter have never met in a competitive UEFA match, so there are no historical trends to analyse in this regard!

Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan Betting Tips

Fabian Ruiz to score anytime @ 6.70

Okay, this is a bold shout, but hear us out. So much is made of PSG’s attack-minded stars that it would not be a shock to see a midfielder land a decisive blow instead. Ruiz scored in the semi-final second leg vs Arsenal and has netted three goals in nine previous appearances against Inter.

Ousmane Dembele to have over 4.5 shots @ 2.63

In case you were unaware, Dembele loves taking a shot on goal, evidenced by the fact that his tally of 60 shots is eight more than any other player in this season’s Champions League. The Frenchman averages 4.3 per game, so it may be worth taking a punt on him to record at least five in the final, as the odds are pretty eye-catching.

Hakan Calhanoglu to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 2.00

Calhanoglu occupies a slightly deeper role these days, but he is still a final third threat. The Turkish maestro has scored 11 goals across all competitions this season and his free-kick prowess only boosts his chances of testing Gianluigi Donnarumma’s gloves. Calhanoglu is also Inter’s designated penalty taker, having scored from 12 yards in the second-leg victory over Barcelona.
