Spain vs France Preview
Spain won the aforementioned semi-final at Euro 2024, with Lamine Yamal scoring a superb long-range goal in a 2-1 comeback victory that helped secure the trophy for Luis de la Fuente’s side.
The Barcelona teenager has gone from strength to strength since that moment and he will be the main focus of France’s defensive drills in the build up.
But Les Bleus have so many attacking weapons at their own disposal that it is almost a joke.
Captain Kylian Mbappe, Ballon d’Or frontrunner Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, Michael Olise and Marcus Thuram are all available to manager Didier Deschamps, which is quite frankly ridiculous.
However, France’s recent run of form has not been great, with the previous four games including a 0-0 home draw with Israel and a 2-0 defeat to Croatia in a Nations League quarter-final first leg.
Deschamps’ side did beat Croatia 2-0 in the return leg, though, and eventually prevailed on penalties to reach this hurdle.
Spain also needed a shootout to beat the Netherlands in their quarter-final tie after two high-scoring draws (2-2 and 3-3).
But La Roja won the five previous fixtures before their meetings with the Dutch, including a 3-2 triumph over Switzerland on Matchday 6 of the Nations League group stage.
Nevertheless, it remains hard to split these two giants of international football and with world-class players everywhere you look in each squad, it is safe to assume that this will be a memorable semi-final!

Spain vs France Betting Tips
Kylian Mbappe to score first for France @ 3.50
Mbappe has played in four Nations League matches this term and is yet to find the back of the net. However, the Les Bleus captain ended the 2024-25 season in stunning form for Real Madrid, netting nine goals in the final five La Liga matches on his way to the European Golden Shoe award.
Michael Olise to score or assist @ 3.10
Olise scored AND assisted in the 2-0 quarter-final second-leg win over Croatia. Furthermore, the tricky winger enjoyed a stunning debut campaign at Bayern Munich, tallying 17 goals and 21 assists across all competitions in 2024-25. As such, we are a tad puzzled as to why the odds for this selection are so good!
Over 3.5 goals in the match @ 4.00
This is a bit of a risk, but France’s attacking power – combined with Spain’s seeming love of entertaining matches – leads us to believe it could be one worth taking. Each of La Roja’s last three contests have featured over 3.5 goals, which is certainly a good betting omen.
