Belgian Grand Prix Preview
It is all about McLaren as we head into the 13th race of the season, the final one before the summer break.
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri claimed a one-two finish (in that order) in Austria and at Silverstone, with the pair separated by just eight points in the Drivers Championship table.
McLaren are running away with the Constructors Championship title with 238 points more than second-placed Ferrari ahead of the Belgian GP.
Red Bull are actually fourth behind Mercedes, a sign of the shift in power Formula 1 has seen in recent times.
Speaking of Red Bull, this will be their first GP without Team Principal Christian Horner, as he was removed from the role just three days after the race at Silverstone.
Laurent Mekies has since been appointed as Horner’s replacement and it will be interesting to see how he goes in his first big assignment.
With so many eyes on Red Bull as a result, McLaren can go about their business a bit more quietly, while both Ferrari and Mercedes should enjoy having less of the limelight on them.
