Premier League 2025/26: Who Will Win the Golden Boot?

After months of waiting, the new Premier League season kicks off this Friday as champions Liverpool host Bournemouth at Anfield.

The 2025-26 campaign promises to be enthralling from start to finish, and the race for the Golden Boot could be one of the best ever.

So, ahead of the Premier League’s opening night on Merseyside, we take a look at the current favourites to win the prestigious individual accolade.

Throughout the new season, NetBet will be providing you with plenty of online betting tips for your Premier League bets, tips which can be used in conjunction with features like Acca Boost and Bet Builder.

Now, let’s take a look at those Golden Boot odds…

*All odds are subject to change

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 2.38

It is no surprise to see Haaland as the big favourite here. The City striker won the Golden Boot in his first two seasons in English football and perhaps only missed out last term due to suffering an injury. Haaland scored 22 goals in 31 matches across the 2024-25 campaign, with his tally of 36 in 35 back in 2022-23 the highest ever recorded by a player in a 38-game Premier League campaign. It is hard to bet against the Norwegian colossus in this market!

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 6.00

Salah won the Golden Boot last season as he helped fire Liverpool to their second Premier League title. Under the tutelage of Arne Slot, the Egyptian forward seemed to take his game to another level, finding the back of the net 29 times in his 38 appearances. After signing a new contract, Salah will be eager to enjoy another great season, though there is a chance that his numbers could suffer a tad after Liverpool’s summer spending. With Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike both joining for big money, the Reds’ attack looks far less reliant on Salah now – and that is perhaps why his odds are surprisingly long here.

Alexander Isak (Newcastle, for now…) – 7.00

Given Isak’s precarious situation at Newcastle right now, we are slightly surprised his odds are nearly on par with Salah’s. Yes, the Swede is one of the best strikers in the world, but he has not played a single minute in pre-season after demanding a move to Liverpool – a demand which Newcastle reportedly won’t meet this summer. However, if Isak were to complete a switch to Anfield and Slot were able to get him fit and firing quickly, he could make a mockery of his odds of 7.00. And that could also be the case if he and Newcastle patch things up in the near future!

Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal) – 7.50

Arsenal’s new No14 got off the mark in the 3-0 pre-season win over Athletic Bilbao last weekend, and he is viewed as the potential missing piece of the puzzle for Mikel Arteta’s side. After scoring 39 goals in 33 league appearances for Sporting Lisbon last season, the pressure is on the Sweden international to deliver from the get-go. But with a real lack of Premier League experience, Gyokeres’ odds are perhaps a bit too short here, especially as he may be rotated with fellow striker Kai Havertz throughout the season.

Benjamin Sesko (Manchester United) – 17.00

Another new face in the Premier League, Sesko arrives at United with a glowing reputation following his exploits at RB Leipzig. Alongside fellow summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, the Slovenian centre forward will look to help the Red Devils re-establish themselves as a dominant force in English football. But Ruben Amorim has not had much success with strikers during his Old Trafford tenure so far, evidenced by Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles. Can Sesko buck the trend? Well, 13 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season is not a fantastic record and given United’s well-known predicament, the odds look way too short here.

Joao Pedro (Chelsea) – 17.00

Pedro’s signing went under the radar a tad, but he has been sensational for Chelsea since leaving Brighton. The Brazilian scored three goals in two matches at the Club World Cup, including one in the 3-0 final victory over Paris Saint-Germain, and netted in each of the friendly wins over Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan. The No9 spot in Chelsea’s XI looks his for the foreseeable future and with Enzo Maresca’s side starting to look like a real threat, Pedro could be the best outside bet in the 2025-26 Golden Boot race. Especially as, unlike Gyokeres and Sesko, he has Premier League experience in abundance!
