The 2025-26 NFL season begins in the early hours of Friday morning – and excitement levels across the world are building!
Thirty-two teams will go toe-to-toe over the next 18 weeks, before the playoffs scheduled for early next year. As per usual, each side plays 17 matches in the regular season, with one bye week.
Of course, the first match of the campaign features the current Super Bowl champions; the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, before a full weekend of high-octane action up and down the United States of America.

NFL 2025/26 Season Preview
While the Eagles are defending champions, the side from Philadelphia are not the talk of the town heading into the new NFL campaign.
The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are widely viewed as the favourites prior to the season’s start, with both sides competing in the American Football Conference.
In fact, the two teams meet in the early hours of Monday morning UK time, a match which will see one of the fancied outfits lay down an early marker.

Speaking of the Eagles, they are – of course – one of the top sides in the National Football Conference, though the reigning champions will face stiff competition in the division from the likes of the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.
