Luke Humphries vs Cameron Menzies: Over 7.5 180s @ 2.10
This match all depends on which version of Menzies shows up. If the Scotsman keeps his emotions in check, he can push the World No1 all the way. Menzies is a fantastic player on his day, though can sometimes crumble under the weight of pressure. But he has not done so at this World Grand Prix, so expect a close and entertaining match here. Humphries’ scoring power has been below par at the tournament thus far, and raising it to previous levels may be required against an opponent looking to make a big impression at a major. Both players rank inside the Top 20 for 180s hit over the last 12 months, so there could be real value in this selection.
Jonny Clayton to beat Dirk van Duijvenbode @ 1.69
Clayton, the 2021 World Grand Prix winner, was certainly not at his best in the previous round, though he did not need to be to claim a 3-1 victory over Luke Woodhouse. In contrast, Van Duijvenbode was very impressive indeed, defeating Daryl Gurney 3-0, which followed a 2-0 win over Michael van Gerwen. So Clayton’s Dutch opponent is yet to drop a set at the World Grand Prix, but we are still backing ‘The Ferret’ here. His experience in the latter stages of this tournament should prove crucial, and Clayton has been throwing some of the best darts of his career in 2025. A fascinating contest awaits, with Clayton’s efficiency in getting away on D16 perhaps being the crucial factor come the end of play.
Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price: Over 4.5 sets @ 2.70
The standout tie of the round, a match befitting of the final itself. Littler, arguably the best player on the planet, takes on a formidable opponent in Price, a previous winner of this tournament. Price dropped just one leg in his dominant 3-0 victory over Josh Rock, while Littler cruised past Mike De Decker following his record-breaking 2-0 win vs Gian van Veen in Round 1. So both players have form behind them, and Price is also one of the few men on the circuit who never seems to be overawed when taking on world champion Littler. All of this means we could be in for a World Grand Prix classic, one which we think will go to a fifth and deciding set.
Gary Anderson to beat Danny Noppert @ 1.54
Two-time world champion Anderson looks like a man reborn in Leicester, as he looks to claim his first-ever World Grand Prix title. Standing in his way is Noppert, a former UK Open winner who can beat anyone on his day. Noppert defeated an injured Stephen Bunting in the previous round, showcasing some decent scoring power and double hitting. But if Anderson gets on a roll, as he did in the 3-0 demolition of Joe Cullen, his opponent may not quite have the quality to counter it. We expect Noppert to put up a good fight, however, another Anderson victory on the big stage looks the most likely outcome here.
