After two days of goal-filled Champions League contests, attention switches to the Europa League this evening.
Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa are both in action, with the former having Sean Dyche take charge for the first time since replacing Ange Postecoglou as manager.

Nottingham Forest to beat FC Porto @ 2.49
Forest are searching for their first win since the opening weekend of the Premier League season, when Nuno Espirito Santo was in charge! The Postecoglou reign was doomed to fail from the start, but the pragmatic Dyche is certainly a personality who can steady the ship – and start winning back the fans. Dyche’s physical, aggressive tactics are tailor-made for many players in the Forest squad, and with the fabled ‘new manager bounce’, this could be a very tricky assignment for Porto at what should be a noisy City Ground. The Portuguese side are unbeaten in the league and won both previous matches in this competition vs Red Bull Salzburg (0-1) and Crvena zvezda (2-1). However, we still fancy Forest here.
Go Ahead Eagles vs Aston Villa: Anytime goalscorer – Morgan Rogers @ 2.60
Rogers looks to be rediscovering his best form in claret and blue, scoring a wonder-goal in the 2-1 victory at Tottenham on the weekend. The attacking midfielder also found the back of the net in England’s 3-0 friendly win over Wales, while his European record under Unai Emery is pretty impressive. In last season’s Champions League, Rogers scored four goals and tallied two assists. So wagering on this selection is perhaps a good way to find to value on a positive outcome for Villa, because the Match Result market is heavily skewed in their favour. Go Ahead Eagles have won just two matches in the Eredivisie this season, and sit 12th in the table with 16 goals conceded. The Dutch side did beat Panathinaikos 2-1 away on Europa League Matchday 2, but lost 1-0 at home to FSCB in their opener. So Rogers and Villa should really fancy their chances of achieving a rare comfortable away win on the continent.
Sturm Graz to beat Celtic and both teams to score @ 9.30
We rarely tip a selection with such high odds, but this one really caught our eye. Celtic lost 2-0 at home to Braga on Matchday 2, which came just after a 0-0 draw vs Hibernian at Celtic Park in the league. Brendan Rodgers’ side did beat Motherwell 3-2 in front of their own fans following the loss to Braga, however, the Bhoys enter this fixture after suffering a shock 2-0 defeat at Dundee. To say it has been a slow start to the campaign for Celtic is an understatement, though the same cannot be said for Sturm Graz. Top of the Austrian Bundesliga with seven wins from nine, and already with a 2-1 win over Rangers on their 2025-26 Europa League CV, this has the makings of another famous European night for Sturm Graz. And even though Celtic failed to score in three of the last four, we fancy them to grab at least one goal in a losing cause.
Fenerbahce vs Stuttgart: Total goals – Over 2.5 @ 1.60
Three of Fenerbahce’s last four matches at home saw over 2.5 goals scored, including the 2-1 win over Nice on Matchday 2. Furthermore, five of Stuttgart’s six away games this season saw this selection land, the only exception being the 2-0 loss at FC Basel. So the numbers suggest this is a wise selection to make in a combo bet, though predicting the match outcome is far tougher. Both sides are third in their respective divisions, with Fenerbahce’s top-flight record of 5-4-0 slightly better than that of Stuttgart 5-0-2. This should be a fascinating contest, one hopefully full of goals!
