Leeds vs West Ham: Leeds to score in the first half @ 1.87
After a 2-0 loss to Burnley last weekend, Leeds will look to come flying out the traps at Elland Road against a wounded West Ham outfit. The Hammers were beaten 2-0 by Brentford on Monday evening, a scoreline which actually flattered Nuno’s side given how bad the overall performance was. Defensively, West Ham are a mess right now, with centre-back Max Kilman the target of criticism from all angles. So we really like the look of an early Leeds goal at Elland Road, especially under the lights on a Friday evening. West Ham have conceded a first-half goal in each of their last four Premier League fixtures, while Leeds have scored before the break in the last two home games vs Bournemouth and Tottenham.
Newcastle vs Fulham: Player to score or assist – Nick Woltemade @ 1.83
Woltemade seems to be improving with each passing week, so much so that Newcastle fans are already forgetting about Alexander Isak. The giant German scored in each of the Magpies’ previous three Premier League fixtures, although his clever flick could not prevent a 2-1 loss at Brighton last weekend. But that is in the past, and Newcastle will still be high on confidence after a 3-0 home win over Benfica in the Champions League. At St James’ Park, Eddie Howe’s side remain a force to be reckoned with, while Fulham have conceded eight goals in their previous three away fixtures. So another goal or assist for Big Nick on Tyneside looks firmly on the cards.
Manchester United vs Brighton: Match Result (Early Payout) – Manchester United @ 1.95
For the first time under Ruben Amorim, United are on a two-match winning streak in the Premier League after triumphs over Sunderland (2-0) and arch rivals Liverpool (1-2). So the Old Trafford atmosphere on Saturday should be as positive as it has been over the last 12 months. As such, betting on a United win looks like a solid move this weekend, although we still do not fully trust Amorim’s men – particularly from a defensive standpoint. United were 2-0 up after just 31 minutes vs Sunderland, but then surrendered chances to the opposition and were lucky not to concede. And a repeat of that against a team of Brighton’s calibre, who have also won six of their previous seven league matches vs United, reeks of a comeback. With that in mind, the ‘early payout’ option looks a great way to spare those betting blushes.
Brentford vs Liverpool: Player to score or assist – Florian Wirtz @ 2.10
After a slow start to the season, Wirtz showed real signs of promise on Wednesday evening, playing a pivotal role in Liverpool’s 5-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt. The playmaker registered two assists and was a constant threat in the final third, and we feel confident that Arne Slot will keep him in the starting XI for the trip to Brentford. With a new lease of life in a Liverpool jersey, Wirtz can finally end his long wait for a Premier League goal contribution at the Gtech Stadium. Brentford have not kept a clean sheet at home since Matchday 2 of the season, while the Reds are still the joint-fourth highest scorers in the division, despite their poor form of late.
