Unsurprisingly, the Patriots are massive favourites in the Money Line market here, priced at just 1.11. The side from New England have been a dominant force in their AFC division, tallying eight wins from 10 matches and suffering only two defeats. So with the opening fixture of Gameweek 11, your best source of value is in the handicap markets. The Jets have already suffered seven defeats in nine this term, and their fortunes show no real sign of changing anytime soon. Furthermore, the Patriots are on a seven-game winning streak, with three of them coming by a margin of at least eight points. Against a team as weak as the Jets are right now, we are backing the Patriots to emulate their 13-31 win at the Tennessee Titans last month – or at least get fairly close to it!
Miami Dolphins to beat Washington Commanders @ 1.57
The NFL is heading to Spain this weekend, with this intriguing fixture between the Dolphins and the Commanders taking place at the Santiago Bernabeu, the home of Real Madrid. So the kick-off time is perfect for us fans in the UK (2:30pm) and it promises to be a closely-fought game between two teams with identical 3-7 records in the NFL. However, the Dolphins (the designated home team for this Madrid-based contest) are in better form, having won two of their previous three – including last Sunday’s huge 30-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills. In contrast, the Commanders have lost five matches in a row, most recently suffering a heavy 22-44 home defeat to the Detroit Lions. So you can see why the Dolphins get our nod of approval here.
Houston Texans vs Tennessee Titans: Texans | -5.5 Handicap @ 1.63
We are dipping into the handicap markets again for our final NFL tip of the week. The Titans have suffered the joint-most defeats in the whole league this season with eight, mustering just one win – and that was at the start of October in Arizona. So it is no shock whatsoever to see the Texans priced at just 1.25 in the pre-match Money Line market, meaning we have switched over to the array of handicap selections. The Texans have won four of their previous six NFL contests, and all of those victories were by a margin of at least six points. When they played the Titans in late September, the Texans recorded a 28-0 victory on home soil, and all five of the Titans’ losses in the last six matches were by a margin greater than six points. As such, this selection feels like a fairly risk-free bet.
