Everton to beat Bournemouth @ 2.42
Everton came from a goal down to beat Fulham 2-1 on the weekend, extending their unbeaten Premier League run to five matches. But the Toffees’ last home win was against Nottingham Forest (3-0) way back on December 6, so this is a significant outing. Bournemouth drew 1-1 with Aston Villa last Saturday, which followed a 2-0 win at Wolves. The Cherries are a solid side, however, the confidence gained from Craven Cottage leads us to believe that Everton will get the job done here.
West Ham vs Manchester United: Player to score or assist – Crysencio Summerville @ 2.95
Summerville is a man in form for West Ham, and the left winger’s renaissance is inspiring hope of survival. The Dutchman has scored or assisted in each of the last five Premier League matches after his goal in the 2-0 win at Burnley. It is a run which includes strikes vs Tottenham, Sunderland and Chelsea, so it is slightly surprising to see just how good the odds on offer are. Yes, United are riding the crest of a wave under Michael Carrick with four straight victories, but there are still jinks in their armour – evidenced by the two goals conceded vs Fulham. Backing the in-form Summerville here could be a very profitable move.
Chelsea vs Leeds: Anytime goalscorer – Cole Palmer @ 2.26
Fresh from a hat-trick in the 3-1 win at Wolves, this match looks tailor-made for more Palmer magic. Leeds have performed fairly well in recent weeks to give themselves a great chance of beating the drop, but 10 goals conceded in the last four games is also not the best of stats. Palmer can put Daniel Farke’s leaky defence to the sword once again, as he is an operator who becomes close to unstoppable when on a hot streak. When a confidence player is full of it ahead of a home game such as this, wagering on them to find the back of the net just feels like a wise move.
Manchester City to score over 2.5 goals vs Fulham @ 2.20
City’s dramatic 2-1 win at Liverpool may very well prove to be a defining moment in the season come May. Erling Haaland was back on the scoresheet as well, which is an ominous sign for Fulham. With renewed energy and optimism, you have to fancy Pep Guardiola’s side to romp to victory at the Etihad here. Fulham have lost the last 19 games against City across all competitions, a woeful record which almost beggars belief. And the Citizens scored eight times in the previous two fixtures on home soil, with Haaland boasting a record of seven goals in seven matches vs the Cottagers. Things could get messy for Marco Silva’s side.
Crystal Palace vs Burnley: Anytime goalscorer – Jorgen Strand Larsen @ 2.10
Strand Larsen was thrown straight into Palace’s starting XI for the trip to Brighton, and delivered a solid display in the 1-0 victory. The Norwegian registered two shots on target, and he will be eyeing a first goal against one of the division’s weakest sides. Burnley’s aforementioned loss at West Ham means it is 16 straight matches in the top flight without a win, and the Clarets possess the worst defensive record with 49 goals conceded. Strand Larsen scored from the penalty spot in his last appearance vs Burnley – albeit in a 3-2 loss with Wolves – and he can produce the goods at Selhurst Park here.
