This is Newcastle’s first home match since the start of the month, when they lost 3-2 to Brentford.
Qarabag enjoyed a welcome weekend off after the trashing dealt to them last week. Gurban Gurbanov’s side won their previous two away top-flight fixtures, but the last match on the road in this competition saw them lose 6–0 to Liverpool.
