Saturday sees England attempting to nail top spot in Group L with a 10pm kick-off UK time against pointless Panama at New York New Jersey Stadium.
At the same time Croatia and Ghana go head-to-head at Philadelphia Stadium knowing that the winner from their game could pip England to first place if Thomas Tuchel’s men fail to beat Panama.
Earlier in the day there are two more groups playing out their final games.
We did not see many people tipping Cape Verde to still be in contention for the knockout stages with one group game to go, but here we are.
They take on Saudi Arabia at Houston Stadium as our day starts at 1am with the games in Group H.
Cape Verde are level on two points with Uruguay, who face the prospect of having to beat Spain at Estadio Guadalajara.
The action then shifts to Group G with a couple of 4am starts.
Belgium are level with Iran on two points and cannot afford any slip-ups against bottom-placed New Zealand at BC Place Vancouver.
Egypt lead the group with four points and tackle Iran at Seattle Stadium knowing that a surprise defeat could see them slip to third should Belgium also win.

Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia: Match result – Cape Verde @ 2.45
Cape Verde are favourites to win a football match at the 2026 World Cup! The archipelago nation’s impact on this tournament has been huge, first holding European Champions Spain to a 0-0 draw, then showing immense fighting spirit to claw a 2-2 result against Uruguay. Just how much have they been underestimated? Well, those two draws mean they have lost only one of their last 16 games in open play. The Match Result here is @ 2.45 in their favour with Saudi Arabia priced @ 2.76. Much will depend on how Uruguay fare against leaders Spain, but Cape Verde are basically playing for an automatic place in the knockout stage.
Uruguay vs Spain: Anytime Goalscorer Double Chance – Maximiliano Araujo or Mikel Oyarzabal @ 1.91
Uruguay’s penalty for drawing their opening two games is they need to earn at least a point here from European Champions Spain to stand any change of progressing. Midfielder Maxi Araujo has been their main man, scoring in both matches so far. He also created the most chances (5) in the 1-1 draw with Saudi Arabia and the joint most (3) against Cape Verde. Spain brushed off the cobwebs of the 0-0 draw with Cape Verde by hammering Saudi Arabia 4-0. That has stretched their unbeaten run to 32 games dating back to March 2024. Lamine Yamal marked his return from injury in that latest game scoring the opener on 10 minutes while striker Mikel Oyarzabal bagged two goals and an assist.
New Zealand vs Belgium: Half-Time/Full-Time – Belgium/Belgium @ 1.56
Another group with unexpected standings sees Belgium in third place, level on two points with Iran but sitting below them due to number of goals scored. Despite taking 38 shots over their two games, Belgium’s only goal in the tournament came from Egypt’s Mohamed Hany putting through his own net. With an unbeaten run now stretching over 15 games they should make quick work of a New Zealand team that has lost 10 of its last 13 games. But they could do with an early goal to settle the nerves.
Egypt vs Iran: Anytime Goalscorer Double Chance – Mohamed Salah or Ramin Rezaeian @ 2.60
Egypt have the upper hand with a two-point lead over Iran and Belgium, so a draw here would be enough to seal automatic qualification. A solid performance in a 1-1 draw with Belgium was followed by a comfortable 3-1 win over New Zealand. Mo Salah was exceptional in that game. As well as scoring, he created the most chances (5), had the most touches in the opponents’ box (13) and took the most shots (5). Iran’s two draws at the World Cup are part of a seven-game run in which they have lost just once. Their right-back Ramin Rezaeian, 36, is an interesting character. He has three goals and an assist from his last four games.
Panama vs England: Corners: England Total – Over 7 @ 2.24
England made life a little tricker than it needed to be by drawing 0-0 with Ghana. Declan Rice came away with some credit having created six chances, but that’s the benefit of being the main corner taker. England were awarded eight corners in the 4-2 win over Croatia and nine against Ghana. If Thomas Tuchel’s troops want to qualify as group winners, there can be no room for complacency against unfancied Panama, who lost both of their games narrowly by the same 1-0 scoreline.
Croatia vs Ghana: Match Result – Draw @ 3.15
Croatia have taken a while to get going. A bright first-half against England faded away in the second period, while the 1-0 win over Panama was achieved with just six shots all game. Ghana have been equally economical with their stats, preferring to sit back and play on the counter-attack. Panama were beaten with a stoppage time goal, the Black Stars’ seventh shot of the game. In the 0-0 draw with England, they mustered just two shots but earned a valuable point which is the gap they now have over Croatia. Expect them to execute the same game plan here to keep their noses in front of their opponents in the race for automatic qualifying places.
