The final Grand Slam of the year is nearly upon, the always fabulous US Open.
And the men’s bracket for the 2026 event at the iconic USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City, marks the return of Carlos Alcaraz from injury.
The Spaniard is the reigning US Open champion, having defeated rival Jannik Sinner in last year’s final.
Sadly for fans of great tennis, Sinner has replaced Alcaraz on the treatment table, with the Italian ruling himself out of this tournament in order to fully recover from a knee injury.
It is the first Grand Slam without the current World No1 since 2019, and proceedings just won’t be the same without him.
But Sinner’s absence, and the likelihood of Alcaraz being a little undercooked due to his prolonged time away from the game, really opens up the men’s field.
The likes of Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, four-time champion Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz may very well fancy their chances of adding this Grand Slam title to their CVs.
We cannot wait for all the thrilling tennis action to get underway in New York, and we have previewed the men’s bracket at US Open 2026 below, providing you with the latest tennis odds from the NetBet Sport platform.

US Open 2026 Men’s Preview
Alcaraz’s return means he has a shot at winning a second Grand Slam of the year following his success at the Australian Open.
The Spanish star missed both the French Open and Wimbledon as a result of his injury, events won by Zverev and Sinner respectively.
But as we touched on above, Alcaraz will almost certainly be a little rusty due to a lack of recent competitive action under his belt.
So it could be the ideal tournament for a recent major event winner to thrive in, which shines the light perfectly on American ace Shelton and Frenchman Arthur Fils.
The fast-serving Shelton was triumphant at the Canadian Open, while Fils tasted success even more recently thanks to a victorious Cincinnati Open campaign.
And perhaps more importantly, the hardcourt surface at the US Open is perfectly-suited to Shelton’s game, which makes his pre-tournament odds of 9.00 really stand out.
From a British perspective, Jack Draper misses out once again as his long-standing issues with injury continue.
Joao Fonseca, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Ethan Quinn, Sebastian Korda and Holger Rune will also play no part in New York.
