Newcastle vs Hull: Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.62
Newcastle’s defence has been the subject of criticism this season, especially after Monday’s heavy 4-1 defeat at Leeds. The Magpies also conceded at least two goals in their previous three home matches, with this BTTS selection landing in all of them too. So backing it again when in-form Hull visit Tyneside looks a great bet. Gakpo returned to Liverpool’s starting XI on Tuesday evening in the EFL Cup after playing a bit-part role vs Fulham due to injury, and scored the crucial second goal in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Tottenham. The Dutchman is now up to five goal contributions in as many appearances across all competitions this season, a stellar record for a player who was surprisingly close to leaving in the summer. And Szobozlai was also on target vs Spurs, taking him to two goals for the campaign. Bournemouth collected a huge 2-1 win at Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday, but the energy sapped in Spain may play into Liverpool’s, Gakpo’s and Szoboszlai’s hands here.
Leeds vs Crystal Palace: Anytime goalscorer – Dominic Calvert-Lewin @ 2.21
Calvert-Lewin has now scored in Leeds’ last five Premier League home games following his strike against Newcastle on Monday. The big striker just loves playing at Elland Road, which is not good news for Crystal Palace – who shipped 11 goals in their first four top-flight outings of 2026-27. Still getting to grips with Pierre Sage’s methods, as well as the departures of Maxcence Lacroix and Daniel Munoz, it has been tough going for the Eagles. Yes, Palace recorded a 4-0 win over Lech Poznan in the Europa League, but the quick turnaround here is far from ideal when coming up against a high-energy Leeds side. Furthermore, Calvert-Lewin has a good record against the Eagles with seven goals in 15 previous Premier League outings, so backing him here looks a fantastic bet.
