Brentford vs Liverpool: Player to score or assist – Bradley Barcola @ 2.36
It took a little while, but Liverpool’s record signing burst into life against LASK on Tuesday evening. Barcola scored a brilliant hat-trick in Austria and was electric from the offset. We all know the Frenchman is among the most exciting wingers on the planet, and now it is time for him to light up the Premier League stage. Of course, Brentford is a tough place to go, but the Bees kept just one clean sheet in the previous seven matches, and shipped two goals at Villa Park last time out. A chance for Barcola to shine? We reckon so!
Manchester City vs Ipswich: Player to score 2 or more – Erling Haaland @ 3.20
Haaland is at just 1.50 in the Anytime Goalscorer market, so backing him to net at least a brace could be the way to go here. The Norwegian scored twice in Man City’s 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, taking him to 10 goals in eight appearances across all competitions – typically ridiculous numbers. Ipswich have caught the eye at times this season, but the fact remains that their defence is a bit leaky. The Tractor Boys are yet to keep a clean sheet in 2026-27 from eight attempts, conceding eight times in three matches on the road. Over to you, Erling.
Fulham vs Hull: Draw no bet – Hull @ 3.15
We are a tad surprised to see Hull at such good odds to win this match, given the starts to the season these sides have had. The Tigers drew 2-2 with Everton last weekend, meaning they have lost just one of their opening six matches. That is in stark contrast to out-of-sorts Fulham, who sit bottom of the table, bereft of confidence and with four defeats in six – the most recent an agonising late 2-1 loss at Ipswich. Alvaro Arbeloa is under huge pressure at Craven Cottage, while Hull seem to be enjoying the Premier League ride. Covering your stake with ‘Draw No Bet’ removes a slight element of risk, as the Tigers drew three of their six games.
Newcastle vs Aston Villa: Anytime goalscorer – Nicolas Jackson @ 2.55
Jackson is back thriving once again under the tutelage of his former mentor Unai Emery. The Senegalese striker played under the manager at Villarreal, and is now enjoying the Aston Villa reunion. Jackson scored twice in the 6-0 thrashing of Fenerbahce on Wednesday night, meaning he has struck in each of his last four appearances – tallying five goals in that time. Add in the facts that Newcastle are fresh from a 4-1 loss at Coventry and have conceded a joint-division high 13 times this season, and you have to fancy Villa’s new main man to continue his impressive streak in front of goal.
Bournemouth vs Sunderland: Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.62
When it comes to Premier League matches involving Bournemouth in 2026-27, BTTS has been a rich source of value. The selection landed in five of the Cherries’ six games thus far, as well as in all four of Sunderland’s away games across all competitions. With both teams partaking in European action on Thursday, rotation could be a factor here – which can often lend itself to an end-to-end match. And with the aforementioned stats supporting a BTTS pick, it feels like a no-brainer for a combo bet.
Brighton vs Crystal Palace: Player to score or assist – Pascal Gross @ 2.30
Backing Gross in this market just feels like one of the safest Premier League bets to place right now. The German midfielder is in the form of his life for free-scoring Brighton, recording a key contribution in each of his last three top-flight appearances. And this weekend he takes on a Palace team which is surrendering chances for fun, the Eagles conceding 30 shots on goal combined in the win over Nottingham Forest (3-1) and defeat to Lyon (3-2). If Gross gets into his groove at the Amex, expect him to increase one – or both – of his attacking tallies for a team on a run of five consecutive wins (with 17 goals scored in that time!).
