Fulham vs Newcastle: Draw no bet – Fulham @ 1.47
The last five games have been mighty tough for Newcastle. Aside from a 2-0 win at fellow strugglers Crystal Palace, Matthias Jaissle’s men suffered four defeats, the most recent a 1-0 loss to Everton at St James’ Park. Things are looking pretty bleak for Newcastle, while Fulham have enjoyed a mini-renaissance of late in the Premier League. Alvaro Arbeloa’s side beat Hull (0-1) and Coventry (0-1), before collecting a credible 1-1 draw at Aston Villa last time out. So the smart money here goes on a positive result for the Cottagers – who beat Newcastle 2-0 at home back in May.
Arsenal vs Hull: Player to score or assist – Declan Rice @ 2.35
Rice played like a man possessed vs Liverpool at Anfield last week. The Arsenal midfielder was absolutely everywhere, and even contributed the crucial assist for Kai Havertz in the 1-0 victory. Rice now boasts five assists in the Premier League, more than any other player in the division – all of them recorded in open play! As such, backing the England international to land another decisive blow when Hull visit the Emirates on Saturday feels like a no-brainer, especially with such an attractive price on offer. After a bright start to the campaign, Hull failed to keep a clean sheet in each of the last seven games, losing the previous three on the road.
Ipswich vs Bournemouth: Player to score or assist – Evanilson @ 2.01
To say Evanilson is a man in form is something of an understatement. The Brazilian striker has four goals and four assists in the Premier League this season, tallying a contribution in seven of his nine outings. You have to go back to September for the last time Evanilson did not score or assist in a top-flight match, a quite amazing record. Oh, the forward also scored and assisted off the bench against Sparta Prague (1-3) in the Europa League on Thursday, so he simply has to be a candidate for your weekend betting strategy. Ipswich have caught the eye at times this term, but the fact remains that Gary O’Neil’s side are yet to keep a clean sheet in any competition! Bournemouth’s firing forward line could therefore have a field day at Portman Road.
Brighton vs Brentford: Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.48
This could very well be the standout game of the weekend. Brighton are flying high with 19 points from nine games and a whopping 24 goals scored, while Brentford are sixth in the table with 16 strikes to their name. With Brighton playing midweek football in the Europa Conference League, fresh from a 1-0 win at Getafe, it is rather hard to pick a winner here – as a well-rested Brentford is a dangerous proposition. So we are playing it safe by backing BTTS, a selection which landed in four of the Bees’ previous five games.
