Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur Preview

A massive game with Champions League consequences goes down at the King Power Stadium this weekend. Fans are back in the stands, and after winning the FA Cup, the hosts will fancy their chances at pipping Liverpool or Chelsea to a Champions League spot.

Unfortunately for Leicester, they need to bank on Crystal Palace doing them a favour at Anfield against Liverpool as well as Aston Villa being able to repeat their draw with Chelsea from earlier this year, if not do one better.

There is also a chance that even finishing fourth won’t be enough for Leicester City, with Chelsea preparing for the Champions League final, where a win over Man City would earn them England’s fourth spot in the tournament regardless of league position.

As for Spurs, they could finish sixth with a win which, after a disaster season, could be enough to get them a European spot if results go their way.

Leicester City v Tottenham Hotspur odds

Visitors Spurs are tiny underdogs in this game which bookies pretty much can’t split. They’re  23/10 for victory, with the draw a 59/20 shot and Leicester City 21/20 for the win.

Tie or Tottenham to win, double chance – 5/6

It’s not going to win you much, but this bet seems a relatively safe one to cover all your bases, and could slide into an acca over the weekend with some slightly more out there predictions. There’s a solid chance that neither one of these sides will be able to finish the other off, especially on a day that’s going to be so cagey. With a simple Spurs to win bet coming in at 23/10, we think that this market provides a good safety net on what is a pretty strong pick. Leicester will be slight favourites, but their odds are much wider in this market and it doesn’t seem worth a look this time.

Half with most goals – Tie – 13/5

You’ve got players well able to find the net on both sides, so who’s to say this one won’t be a draw, with sides scoring in either half? This market is always slightly riskier because there are so many different outcomes, but we just like this price and the probability of it. There is a chance that Leicester City start sluggish and go 1-0 down, to equalise in the second, which would win you £18 from betting just £5.

Leicester to win & both teams to score – 11/5

This game will definitely see both teams score, most certainly, and we think that Leicester City have a slightly better chance of winning, so why not add to the value? This price makes betting on Leicester a much better choice, despite the fact that they won to nil last time they played.
