Tuesday night sees the tie of the Champions League so far, when defending champions Real Madrid travel to Germany to play Borussia Dortmund.

Real are top of La Liga, but two consecutive draws has meant that they arrive in Germany with even more pressure to get a win. There are also rumours of a rift between manager Zinedine Zidane and superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, after the former substituted his star player in the draw against Las Palmas at the weekend.

Dortmund are currently second in the Bundesliga, with four wins and one loss from their five games so far. They’ve managed to score 16 goals in the league, one more than Bayern Munich.

Both teams won their opening fixtures in the group. Dortmund beat Legia Warsaw 6-0, whilst two late goals ensured that Real Madrid defeated Sporting Lisbon.

Team News

Casemiro and Marcelo are both injured and neither travelled to Germany. Pepe and Fabio Coentrao have recovered from injuries and both could start. Zidane said that he withdrew Ronaldo due to fatigue, but he could start in such an important game.

There have been injury scares aplenty for Dortmund, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Marc Bartra, Andre Schurrle and Adrian Ramos have all been cleared to play.
