Aston Villa vs Maccabi Tel-Aviv: Anytime goalscorer – Donyell Malen @ 2.60

We expect Unai Emery to ring the changes for this Europa League contest, with a crucial Premier League home match vs Bournemouth just on the horizon. Malen is one player who should come in to give Ollie Watkins a rest, while he could deputise for one of the wingers if required. Malen always looks a huge threat when given minutes, and scored twice in the 2-1 win over Burnley last month. With such attractive odds, especially given the relative weakness of the opposition, this could be a great way to start your Thursday of betting – or boost your odds in a combo!

Nottingham Forest to beat Sturm Graz @ 1.69

Forest picked up a vital 2-0 home win vs FC Porto on Matchday 3, and showed more signs of life under Sean Dyche on the weekend. The Tricky Trees drew 2-2 with Manchester United after falling 1-0 behind, with plenty of positives to take from the performance. And a Forest side with more confidence should be too strong for Austrian outfit Sturm Graz, who are on a rotten run of form. After losing 2-1 at Celtic on Matchday 3, they have suffered back-to-back losses in the Austrian Bundesliga, even losing 3-1 at home to Wolfsberg. So we are backing Forest to pick up three crucial points here.

Real Betis vs Lyon: Anytime goalscorer – Antony @ 3.00

Ex-Manchester United winger Antony really is enjoying life in Seville, with five goals in nine matches across all competitions. The Brazilian ace scored twice on the weekend to help secure a 3-0 win over Mallorca, while he also netted a brace in the 2-2 draw with Villarreal last month. So we are a tad shocked to see how good his odds are in this market, despite the fact Lyon have kept three consecutive clean sheets in the Europa League. But OL have conceded in four of the last five Ligue 1 matches, and let in three goals at Paris FC last Wednesday. As such, Antony gets our nod of approval here!

AS Roma to beat Rangers @ 1.72

Rangers have been pretty hopeless in the Europa League thus far, suffering three consecutive defeats vs Genk (0-1), Sturm Graz (2-1) and Brann (3-0). And a 3-1 weekend loss to rivals Celtic in the Scottish League Cup semis eliminated some of the positivity gained from league wins over Kilmarnock (3-1) and Hibernian (0-10). Of course, Roma lost 1-0 to AC Milan last Sunday, but the Giallorossi just look far too strong of an outfit for Rangers – even with the added element of the Ibrox atmosphere. The Romans lost their previous two Europa League contests to Lille (0-1) and Viktoria Plzen (1-2), but we fancy a timely response from Gian Piero Gasperini’s men in Glasgow. The loss to Milan was the only one Roma have suffered on the road this season, with wins achieved in all the other five trips.
