Chelsea to beat Hull and both teams to score @ 2.73

We expect Chelsea to edge past Hull in this encounter, though we are not predicting an easy ride for Liam Rosenior’s men. The hosts are fourth in the Championship for a reason, with striker Ollie McBurnie the third-top scorer in the division with 12 goals. Furthermore, Chelsea have not kept a clean sheet in six consecutive games, blowing a two-goal lead against Leeds on Tuesday evening. The Blues also conceded when they played lower-league opposition in the last round, eventually winning 5-1 at Charlton. So the BTTS market looks the perfect way to boost the odds on a Chelsea win.

Burton vs West Ham: Anytime goalscorer – Taty Castellanos @ 2.20

Castellanos has looked very bright since joining West Ham from Lazio in January, scoring his first goal for the club in the 2-0 win at Burnley. A bundle of positive energy and anything but afraid to take shots at goal, he looks perfectly suited to the English game. So Nuno Espirito Santo may look towards this tie against Burton – who are struggling at the foot of League One – as a way to further boost his striker’s confidence ahead of the run in. At better than evens, backing a Castellanos goal vs a third-tier opponent looks a great bet.

Manchester City to score over 4.5 goals vs Salford @ 2.17

City will be feeling very good about themselves ahead of this tie after back-to-back wins over Liverpool (1-2) and Fulham (3-0). And Pep Guardiola’s side displayed their dominance against a lower-league opponent in the previous round, thrashing poor ol’ Exeter City 10-1 at the Etihad. With the likes of Omar Marmoush, Rayan Cherki and Phil Foden all battling for regular spots in the XI, do not expect any respite from City here. Salford are sixth in the League Two table and have won three of the last five, but this step up in class should be far too much for Karl Robinson’s squad to handle.

Aston Villa to beat Newcastle @ 2.19

This is one of the tougher fourth-round ties to predict. Newcastle arrive in Birmingham buoyed by their crucial 2-1 victory at Tottenham, while Aston Villa finally got back to winning ways on home soil courtesy of a 1-0 triumph over Brighton. So it is no surprise that the odds are not heavily weighed in either side’s favour, which also means there is value to be had. And Villa get our nod of approval courtesy of a good recent record against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle at Villa Park, winning five of the last seven meetings across all competitions. The contest earlier in the season finished 0-0, but Unai Emery’s men won 4-1 on home soil back in April.
