The 2026 edition of the T20 World Cup final will be contested between India and New Zealand.
Ahmedabad and the massive Narendra Modi Stadium will host the match, with a crowd of 100,000+ expected for Sunday’s main event.
Hosts and defending champions India are – of course – massive favourites, although the team do not have fond memories of playing finals in the giant stadium.
Lest we forget, India lost the 2023 Cricket World Cup final to Australia in Ahmedabad, and New Zealand are also a team which should never be underestimated.
What a finale we have in store, and below is our full sports betting preview, featuring the latest T20 World Cup odds.

India vs New Zealand Preview
India’s semi-final victory over England on Thursday really was a game for the ages.
The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai witnessed an absolute run-fest, with the hosts piling on 253/7 from 20 overs.
No one really gave England a chance in the chase, but Harry Brook’s side only lost by seven runs after responding with 246/7, Jacob Bethell hitting a marvellous 104.
But in truth, it was a deserved victory for India, with Jasprit Bumrah’s economical bowling a thing of beauty. In such a high-scoring game, the seamer recorded figures of 1/33, which is quite remarkable.
Bumrah’s brilliance may be required against a formidable New Zealand batting lineup, though.
In the Kiwis’ unbelievable nine-wicket win over South Africa in the semis, Finn Allen scored 100 not out off just 33 balls, the fastest century in T20 World Cup history.
Tim Seifert also hit 58 (33), and he is the highest run scorer in the tournament among the finalists, with 274 at an average of 45.67.
Furthermore, New Zealand’s bowling attack – which features skipper Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry and Jacob Duffy – is capable of dismantling any batting order, even one as good and multifaceted as India’s.
These two teams know each other very well, having played a five-match T20I series in India before the tournament began, which Suryakumar Yadav’s men won 4-1.

India vs New Zealand Betting Tips
Sanju Samson to score a 50 in the match – Yes @ 3.15
Opening batter Samson has been a revelation in India’s last two matches. He secured the crucial win vs West Indies in the Super 8s with 97* (50), and also top scored for his nation against England with 89 (42). He is in great nick, so wagering on a third 50+ score in succession looks a solid move to make.
Finn Allen to score a 50 in the match – Yes @ 3.65
Allen’s breath-taking century at Eden Gardens, Kolkata is an innings most cricket fans will never forget. The New Zealand star, renowned for his power hitting, struck 10 4s and eight 6s as tournament records tumbled with every swing of his blade. With Bumrah usually bowling towards the end of – or solely outside – of the powerplay, Allen has the chance to take down India’s other operators early on, and bag himself another 50+ score in T20I cricket.
