Recent results

PSG beat AS Monaco 5-4 on aggregate in the play-offs to reach this stage, though only managed a 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes in that tie.

And Enrique’s men surprisingly lost 3-1 to Monaco at home in Ligue 1 last Friday evening. However, the Parisians did win their two previous top-flight fixtures vs Metz (3-0) and Le Havre (0-1).

Chelsea beat Wrexham 4-2 AET in the FA Cup on the weekend, a result which followed a huge 4-1 midweek success at Aston Villa in the Premier league.

However, Liam Rosenior’s men had failed to beat Leeds (2-2), Burnley (1-1) and Arsenal (2-1) in their previous top-flight fixtures.

Head-to-head record

Prior to their Club World Cup final clash, PSG and Chelsea had met 11 times across all competitions. The French side claimed three victories, two of them in the 2015-16 Champions League knockouts – each of them 2-1. Five of the 12 meetings overall finished as a draw, with the Blues winning four.

Team news

Fabian Ruiz is expected to miss out for PSG, but Joao Neves should recover in time to feature. Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele was a second-half sub vs Monaco last Friday, so expect him to play a significant role too.

Levi Colwill is the only long-term absentee for Chelsea, though Estevao and Jamie Gittens remain doubts for this fixture due to thigh injuries.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea Betting Tips

Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.51

Six of PSG’s last nine games across all competitions have seen this selection land, as is the case in six of Chelsea’s previous seven. With so much attacking talent set to be on display, the BTTS market really stands out here.

Joao Pedro to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 1.53

Pedro is the man in form for Chelsea. He scored a hat-trick at Villa – taking him to 10 goals in his last 13 Premier League appearances – and sealed the win vs Wrexham with a well-taken strike. The Brazilian also netted twice in the Blues’ previous Champions League game, a 3-2 success at Napoli. So wagering on him to simply have a SOT – which he has done in each of the last four Premier League games – seems like a no-brainer.

Player to score or assist – Bradley Barcola @ 1.95

Barcola is looking sharp ahead of this fixture. The France international has scored in each of the last three Ligue 1 games, so we expect him to retain his spot in Enrique’s starting XI. And with positive form behind him, we are backing him to add to his 16 goal contributions for the season.
