Lille vs Aston Villa: Total goals – Under 2.5 @ 1.79

Villa are under significant pressure ahead of this tie after suffering a 4-1 loss vs Chelsea in their last Premier League match. With that in mind, we expect a more reserved approach from Unai Emery’s struggling side here, which is completely understandable. And given the fact Lille’s last nine matches across all competitions have featured under 2.5 goals – with Les Dogues keeping six clean sheets in that time – this selection really does look likely to come in, and it is perfect for a combo bet!

Nottingham Forest to beat FC Midtjylland @ 1.55

This match is a replay of the Matchday 2 fixture, when Ange Postecoglou was in charge of Forest. The Tricky Trees lost 3-2 that evening, but things are looking better under the rule of new manager Vitor Pereira. Forest beat Fenerbahce 4-2 on aggregate in the play-offs, and recorded a credible 2-2 draw at Manchester City last Wednesday. With a welcome weekend off due to the FA Cup fifth round, Pereira’s side should be raring to go here. And we are backing them to get revenge on Midtjylland, with Igor Jesus a player to keep an eye on. He has seven goals in the Europa League this season, and is priced at 2.10 to score anytime.

Bologna vs AS Roma: Double chance – Bologna or draw @ 1.51

Bologna lost 2-1 at home to Verona on the weekend, but had won the previous five contests across all competitions – including consecutive 1-0 wins over Brann in the play-offs. Roma’s form has tailed off in recent weeks, the Giallorissi winning only two of the last six matches and losing 2-1 at Genoa in their most recent outing. Furthermore, Bologna are unbeaten in four home games vs Roma, winning two and drawing two. So the stats say this double chance selection is the route to go down here.

Celta Vigo vs Lyon: Player to score or assist – Iago Aspas @ 1.50

Veteran forward Aspas is enjoying a solid Europa League campaign with Celta. In 10 appearances, the Spaniard has registered three goals and three assists, tallying three contributions in the last four games. He is still the man for the big occasion, and Lyon arrive in Spain on a rotten run of form, failing to win any of the last four matches. And the Ligue 1 defeats to Strasbourg (3-1) and Marseille (3-2) suggest Lyon’s defence may struggle to keep a clean sheet here, which paves the way for Aspas to play a decisive role once again.
