We take a giant step from the Round of 32 to the last 16 as Saturday takes in games from both rounds.
Colombia and Ghana are the remaining pair of group-stage qualifiers hoping to book a place in the Round of 16. Their game at Kansas City Stadium kicks-off at 2.30am UK time.
Once that match has been decided, we will know all of the nations who have made it through to the last 16.
That phase officially gets underway in the evening, with a 6pm kick-off between Canada and Morocco at Houston Stadium. It is followed at 10pm with Paraguay facing France at the Philadelphia Stadium.

Colombia vs Ghana: Anytime Goalscorer – Luis Diaz @ 2.64
Colombia extended their unbeaten run to five games while clinching top spot in Group K. Wins over Uzbekistan and DR Congo were followed by a frustrating 0-0 draw with Portugal in which they fired 24 shots without scoring. Bayern Munich forward Luis Diaz has looked at his lively best. He had the most touches in the opposition’s box in all three of Colombia’s group games, had the most shots in two of those and scored in the 3-1 win over Uzbekistan while also being named FIFA’s player of the match. Ghana finished third in Group L relying on a tactic of sitting back and hitting teams on the break. That helped them keep two clean sheets in their three games, which included stifling England’s attack in a creditable 0-0 draw. But knockout football requires goals at some point and the Black Stars are sitting on a run of just one win from their last 10 games. This tie has to be Colombia’s for the taking and we are backing Diaz to deliver what’s needed.
Canada vs Morocco: Anytime Goalscorer Double Chance – Achraf Hakimi or Ismael Saibari @ 2.06
Jesse Marsch’s Canada have already outperformed their predecessors by reaching the knockout stage of the World Cup. They squeezed into the Round of 16 thanks to a goal from Stephen Eustaquio two minutes into stoppage time against South Africa, one that clinched a 1-0 win. But not even that could match the drama of Morocco sending Netherlands tumbling out of the competition. An equaliser from Issa Diop one minute into stoppage time sent the game on the path to a penalty shootout. The Atlas Lions held their nerve to progress 3-2 on spot kicks and extend their world record unbeaten run in international football to 41 games. Captain Achraf Hakimi has continued to be an inspiration from right-back and has a goal and an assist from four games as well as being named FIFA player of the match in the 4-2 win over Haiti. Morocco striker Ismael Saibari scored in each of their three group games and has found the net five times in his last six appearances for his country. The Africa Cup of Nations holders should prove to be too powerful for the tournament co-hosts.
Paraguay vs France: France To Win To Nil – Yes @ 1.72
How do you explain Paraguay’s progress to somebody who does not understand that football regularly throws logic out of the window? The South Americans have scored just three goals in four games at the 2026 World Cup, but here they are in the Round of 16 having just booted out four-time winners Germany 4-3 on penalties. All the signs are that the fairytale ends here. France have looked formidable in this tournament, powering through four straight wins while scoring at least three goals in each game. And the question that every opponent has failed to answer so far is how to stop Kylian Mbappe. He has already claimed six goals, which all arrived in pairs. The one game in which he didn’t score was the 4-1 thrashing of Norway, where he still provided two assists. Then there’s Michael Olise, a tireless creative talent who led the assists charts with five after crafting two more in the 3-0 win over Sweden in the Round of 32. Whichever way you look at it, this game screams France win.
