The competition gets underway this weekend with Champions Wales looking to kick off their title defence with a win against Ireland in Dublin. We\u2019ve previewed the tournament and provided our favourite betting tips for the next six weeks of rugby action.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Six Nations Tournament Preview and Odds<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Despite winning two of the last three tournaments, reigning Champions Wales are not being given much of a chance by the bookies &#8211; Italy are the only nation seen as less likely to win at 500\/1. After an impressive 2021 campaign which saw them claim the Triple Crown, Wales have failed to reach the performance levels which earned them their sixth tournament win since the turn of the millennium.<\/p>\n<p>They lost three consecutive games against Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa, before managing to turn things around with wins over Fiji and Australia. Wayne Pivac\u2019s side have been far from convincing in their preparations, meanwhile France have emerged as favourites after an eye-catching win over the All Blacks.<\/p>\n<p>Led by Fabien Galthie, Les Bleus will be looking for their first tournament win since 2010. They enjoyed a spell of dominance from 2000-2010, where they secured five titles in a decade, but they have failed to reach those heights since. It was defeats to England and Scotland that cost them last year, but with bundles of talent in their squad, France will be tournament favourites at 7\/5.<\/p>\n<p>It was a tournament to forget for England last year, as Eddie Jones\u2019 side stuttered to a fifth place finish, losing to all of the home nations. Led by captain Owen Farrell, England will be looking for redemption as they kick off their campaign against Scotland at Murrayfield this weekend. Their fine form since last year\u2019s disappointing tournament peaked most recently with wins against Australia and world champions South Africa, and England will go into the Six Nations as joint second favourites with Ireland at 11\/4.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Six Nations Betting Tips <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Six Nations Winner: England \u2013 11\/4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pride won\u2019t allow England to have as poor a tournament as they did last year. They haven\u2019t lost a game since their final defeat to Ireland in last year\u2019s competition, and there is more than enough quality throughout England\u2019s squad to go all the way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<sup>st<\/sup> \u2013 France, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> \u2013 England \u2013 4\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>England will definitely give France a good run for their money, but they could just lose out to Les Bleus. Galthie\u2019s side probably have the best player in world rugby right now with Antoine Dupont, and this could be the year that the French finally get some silverware.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Top 2 Finish: Wales \u2013 5\/1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wales have been counted out already, before a whistle has even been blown. They might not have been in the best form since their Six Nations win, but they are the reigning Champions.
