The American has been in decent form this year and finished T2 in the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this month before withdrawing from the Players Championship. He stands a good chance of progressing from his group, but the 30\/1 odds on Horschel to reclaim his crown highlight the strength of the field.<\/p>\n<p>2021 runner-up Scottie Scheffler will be less confident in advancing from the group after being given a tough draw consisting of English trio Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood and Ian Poulter. All three can compete with the very best on their day, so Scheffler will have to be at the top of his game to avoid failing to make it to the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>World number one and 2017 runner-up Jon Rahm will go into the tournament as favourite at 12\/1 despite his disappointing outing at the Players Championship. The Spaniard will be up against former Masters champion Patrick Reed in the group stages, as he looks to pick up his first win since the U.S Open last year.<\/p>\n<p>Sitting just behind Rahm in the tournament favourites is young Norwegian Viktor Hovland and world number seven Justin Thomas. The pair have been drawn into groups that they will be expected to progress from, with both hoping to continue their strong form this year and claim their share of the $12million prize purse.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>WGC Match Play Betting Tips<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Three Chances to Win: Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, Dustin Johnson \u2013 4\/1 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a strong collection of candidates who all stand a chance of claiming the title.
