Despite not having looked their best in in the opening month of action, Pep Guardiola\u2019s side are still favourites to claim a third successive title \u2013 that\u2019s probably the Erling Haaland effect. They face their toughest test of the season thus far as they look to rid the woes of previous meetings with Tottenham this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Antonio Conte\u2019s side make the trip north in fine form themselves, having won four of their opening six games. They will take huge confidence from their impressive recent record in this fixture \u2013 they were victorious home and away last season \u2013 but this City side poses an entirely different threat. Spurs might have the joint second-best defensive record in the league, but that backline will no doubt be tested at the Etihad.<\/p>\n<p>This is gearing up to be a battle of the centre forwards. Haaland has scored a quite ridiculous 10 league goals already for City, whilst Harry Kane has found the net five times himself. Given City haven\u2019t been as utterly dominant as they were at times last season, you get the feeling Spurs could hurt them on the break, and Kane will be pivotal in feeding his wingers in transition.<\/p>\n<p>There does seem to be an heir of inevitability about City and Haaland this season.
