US Open Men\u2019s Preview – Alcaraz Looking Good <\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the aftermath of Wimbledon, there\u2019s only one man everyone is talking about\u2026 Carlos Alcaraz. After claiming his first Wimbledon title, he\u2019s gone from a young underdog to a genuine contender. The Spanish 20-year-old has quickly become one of the biggest names in tennis, and sports, after an inspiring victory on the Wimbledon grass. He became one of the youngest ever winners and he\u2019s certainly got a bright future ahead of him.<\/p>\n

This would be Alcaraz\u2019s second consecutive US Open title. It will be the 4th anniversary of the tournament so this one is slightly special. But don\u2019t forget about the great Novak Djokovic. He won a recent encounter between the two and if we have learnt anything from his career, it’s to never ever write him off. The big Serbian will be looking for revenge after losing out at Wimbledon and there is probably no better place to do so. While the hard court may favour the power and bounce of Alcarez, Djokovic is a seasoned pro on all surfaces and knows how to get it done in all conditions. Alcaraz and Djokovic will be seeded one and two and you can\u2019t see anyone else breaking them and taking the title!<\/p>\n

US Open Women\u2019s Preview \u2013 Swiatek to Defend the Crown?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The women’s field seems wide open this year. Without the dominant Serena Williams there are plenty of players that will fancy themselves and the bookies have this one pretty open as well. Much like at Wimbledon, Iga Swiatek will go into this one favourite. After winning things last year she will be wanting to defend her trophy. However, she crashed out in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon so will be looking to change things in the US. She\u2019s likely to be the top seed, however, there are plenty on her heels wanting to cause another upset.<\/p>\n

Watch out for Aryna Sabalenka. The world number two has been knocking on the door in this championship, losing out in the semis in both 2021 and 2022. Sabalenka is a powerful and tall player, which lends itself well to the hard courts. At just 25 she has loads of chances left, but this could well be a breakthrough tournament for her.<\/p>\n

Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, and Ons Jabeur are also top names to watch out for. The women’s side seems very open so this one could come down to things like form, pressure, and who plays best on any given day. Either way, it’s going to be an exciting one!<\/p>\n
