Semenyo nearly rescued a point for Bournemouth at Anfield last Friday, but his fantastic brace was all in vain as late goals from Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah eventually secured a 4-2 win for Liverpool. It must have been a tough loss to take, although Andoni Iraola and his players – Semenyo in particular – can take a lot of positives from the performance, especially after a number of high-profile departures over the summer. So when a wounded Wolves make the trip to the Vitality Stadium on the back of a 4-0 loss to Manchester City, expect the Cherries to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Semenyo finished last season with 11 goals and five assists in the Premier League, numbers which make the odds here stand out even more in terms of value.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ollie Watkins to have over 1.5 shots on target in Brentford vs Aston Villa @ 2.25<\/b><\/h2>\n

Brentford\u2019s start to the season was far from ideal, as Keith Andrews\u2019 side slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest. Defensively, the Bees really struggled and a relegation battle in the post-Thomas Frank era looks a distinct possibility. That will be music to the ears of Aston Villa and Ollie Watkins, who were held to a 0-0 draw by Newcastle on Matchday 1. Watkins made little to no impact against the Magpies, but expect that to change vs an inferior Brentford side still getting to grips with Andrews\u2019 tactics, as well as the loss of key players such as Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard. Watkins has scored six goals in seven top-flight matches against his former club Brentford, while he recorded 40 shots on target last season – placing him inside the division\u2019s Top 10 for the metric.<\/span><\/p>\n

Burnley vs Sunderland: Under 1.5 goals in the match @ 2.68<\/b><\/h2>\n

A battle between two newly-promoted sides whose Matchday 1 experiences could not have been more different. Sunderland thrashed West Ham 3-0 at the Stadium of Light, while Burnley were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham in North London. So you may be asking; why are we not tipping a Sunderland win? Well, when these two teams come face-to-face, it is the lack of goals which catches the eye more than recent form. Last season\u2019s meetings in the Championship saw just one goal scored, with the Turf Moor leg back in January finishing 0-0. Burnley are famed for their tough defence, conceding only 16 times in 46 league matches in 2024-25. And while Sunderland have got some shiny new attacking weapons in Simon Adingra and Chemsdine Talbi, we still like the look of a low-scoring thriller in Lancashire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s late kick-off pits two teams fresh from 1-0 victories on Matchday 1 against each other. Arsenal beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, while Leeds delighted the Elland Road faithful with a vital victory over Everton. Of course, a visit to the Emirates represents a far tougher challenge for Daniel Farke\u2019s side, but it is one the manager and players will relish. For Arsenal, it is a chance to make it back-to-back Premier League wins – and to get new signing Gyokeres up and running in the English top flight. The Swedish striker struggled at Old Trafford last Sunday and was hauled off before the hour mark. But Mikel Arteta will hand Gyokeres another start this weekend after news of Kai Havertz’s knee injury, and if the Gunners can bypass Leeds\u2019 high press early on, the ex-Sporting Lisbon forward can capitalise and bring out his famous Bane celebration for the first time in the Premier League. Gyokeres scored in his last appearance at the Emirates, which was a 3-0 pre-season win over Athletic Bilbao.<\/span><\/p>\n
