Sweden are on three points, one behind Netherlands and today\u2019s opponents Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

They need to win their showdown at Dallas Stadium to claim one of the two automatic qualifying spots.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Group D follows shortly after with 3am kick-offs, with things a lot clearer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turkey have already been eliminated and will hope to regain some respect at Los Angeles Stadium against hosts USA, who are locked in as group winners.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The result of Paraguay against Australia at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium will determine second and third place, as they are presently tied on three points each.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We then head into the evening for Group I\u2019s final games which get underway at 8pm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Norway and France sit happily on six points each but now face each other to decide who will qualify as group winners.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A draw at Boston Stadium would be enough for France to retain first place by virtue of their better goal difference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Senegal need to beat Iraq heavily to gain three points and overturn their own poor goal difference to stand any chance of qualifying as one of the eight best third-placed teams.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Japan have proved that their 1-0 wins over England and Scotland in March were no fluke. A battling 2-2 draw with Netherlands and a 4-0 stroll against Tunisia increased their unbeaten run to nine games, Crystal Palace midfielder Daichi Kamada has impressed, with the 88<\/span>th<\/span>-minute equaliser against Netherlands and the opener against Tunisia. Sweden under Graham Potter are a strange beast, winning and losing 5-1 in their two games. They amassed 62 shots without scoring across those two games, the most in any World Cup two-game span since detailed records began in 1966. Co-hosts USA are already confirmed as group winners having thumped Paraguay 4-1 and eased past Australia 2-0. While the goalscorers have earned the headlines, the defence marshalled by captain Tim Ream, 38, has been excellent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paraguay vs Australia: Match Result \u2013 Paraguay @ 2.83<\/b><\/h2>\n

The battle for second place is on. These two have three points each but Australia have the better goal difference so will clinch automatic qualification if they avoid defeat here. Paraguay somehow crafted a 1-0 win over Turkey last time out, despite only having seven shots compared with 32 by the opposition. The Aussies opened with a 2-0 win over Turkey but then lost by the same scoreline to USA. This is a tight one to call but the impetus is with Paraguay to go for the win and they have scored at least once in each of their last seven games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Norway vs France: Both Teams To Score \u2013 Yes @ 1.72<\/b><\/h2>\n

Two wins from two games for both of these sides has already secured automatic qualification to the knockout stage. The question now is how much do they want to be group winners, or would it serve them better to let some of the fringe players have a run out? As football fans we all want to see a shootout between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, who both have four goals for the tournament so far. Haaland has already played down the game \u2013 or started the mind games \u2013 saying France are \u201cprobably going to win against us. They\u2019re probably going to win the whole tournament\u201d. France lead the pair on goal difference so Norway would need to win to take top spot. These two teams have already scored 13 goals in total between them so let\u2019s go for more of the same here.<\/span><\/p>\n

Senegal vs Iraq: Player To Score Or Assist \u2013 Sadio Mane @ 1.63<\/b><\/h2>\n

Senegal have been hugely disappointing in this World Cup. They had been on a run of 21 games with just one defeat when they fell 3-2 to USA in May. That was followed by a draw and then the two further defeats in this tournament. There were signs of their quality in a strong first-half against France before losing 3-1, and again in the 3-2 defeat by Norway. But with no points and a minus three goal difference, they will need to pile on the goals against Iraq and hope they can scrape through as one of the eight best third-place finishers. Big performances will be needed from the likes of forwards Nicolas Jackson and Sadio Mane, who provided an assist each for Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr in the Norway game. Mane actually created the most chances in that match with five. Iraq have been comprehensively beaten in both of their games but that has not been surprising in the World Cup\u2019s toughest group. Seven goals conceded and just one scored mean that even if they fashioned a win here, their goal difference would be their downfall.<\/span><\/p>\n
