Ben Duckett was dismissed first ball and Jacob Bethell then got out for just four runs. But Joe Root (99*) steadied the ship in masterful fashion with support from Will Jacks (30) and Sam Curran (26), and Atkinson (23*) then hit the winning runs in the 45th over, rather funnily denying Root a century in the process. England\u2019s greatest batter did not care one bit, though!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Team news<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">England\u2019s team looked far better on Thursday with the extra seam-bowling option, so we expect Liam Dawson to miss out once again.
