They won the league with five games to play and come into this match with plenty of confidence, having beaten Hannover 96 3-0 on Saturday. There have been plenty of goals for the Bavarian giants in 2018 as they\u2019ve scored 69 goals in their 20 fixtures. They\u2019re unbeaten at home this season, but it\u2019s hard to judge their record as their league isn\u2019t competitive. Their toughest test this season was against Paris St. Germain in the group stage, where they lost 3-0, in a game which cost Carlo Ancelotti his job.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid have had a disappointing season by their standards and they\u2019re currently third in La Liga, 15 points behind runaway leaders Barcelona. However, they\u2019ve come into their own in the Champions League, where they\u2019re aiming to win an unprecedented three consecutive titles. Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo has been their star player and he\u2019s scored 15 goals in this year\u2019s competition, seven more than any other player. He\u2019s scored 22 goals in his last 12 matches and has shown no signs of diminishing with age.<\/p>\n

Semi-finals are always tough games to predict, especially as Bayern are relatively untested this season. However, Jupp Heynckes has an excellent record in this competition and they\u2019re very experienced when it comes to this stage of the competition. Real Madrid are good value to qualify though and I think they\u2019ll do it. Ronaldo will step up to the plate and Manuel Neuer is a big loss for the Bavarians.<\/p>\n
