The Premier League is nearly upon us and we\u2019ve picked out eight Premier League betting tips ahead of the new season. There\u2019s something for everyone here, regardless of who your favourite team is or where they generally finish in the table.<\/p>\n

Manchester City are odds on favourites to retain their Premier League title this season, but there\u2019ll be plenty of twists and turns before May 2019. Can Arsenal return to the top four under Unai Emery? Will Cardiff surprise everyone and survive this season? Will there be a breakout team who\u2019ll \u201cdo a Leicester\u201d?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s best to place your bets on these markets before the start of the season. Firstly, the prices will change after each game. Secondly, you\u2019ll be able to boast about it to your mates if it turns out that your pre-season prediction turns out to be correct!<\/p>\n

Who will win the Premier League this season?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With Manchester City at an odds-on price to retain their Premier League title, you have to look around at other teams to see who\u2019ll be the most likely to topple Pep Guardiola\u2019s juggernaut. Based on last season and their business over the summer, Liverpool look the most likely.<\/p>\n

Jurgen Klopp\u2019s side beat City three times in all competitions last season, but it\u2019s their record against the lesser teams that will deter many from backing them. However, there\u2019s definitely some value to be had on betting on the Reds to win their first Premier League title, with Klopp\u2019s side at 15\/4<\/a> ahead of the season.<\/p>\n

The rest of the field is at a much larger price, with Manchester United\u2019s issues placing them at 8\/1<\/a>, Spurs\u2019 lack of signings leaving them at 16\/1<\/a> and Chelsea and Arsenal outsiders at 14\/1<\/a> and 22\/1<\/a> respectively. It must be noted though that the last time that Chelsea and Arsenal changed their managers, both sides went and won the Premier League the following season.<\/p>\n

Premier League Top Goalscorer Betting Tip<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Harry Kane (23\/10<\/a>) and Mohamed Salah (5\/1<\/a>) head up the goalscorer betting markets ahead of the new Premier League season, but there\u2019s plenty of value elsewhere in the English top-flight.<\/p>\n

Sergio Aguero (6\/1<\/a>) has started the season in good form, scoring his 200th<\/sup> and 201st<\/sup> goal for Manchester City, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored 10 goals in 13 Premier League appearances for Arsenal after joining from Borussia Dortmund in January.<\/p>\n

Romelu Lukaku (8\/1<\/a>) scored 16 goals last time out, while Raheem Sterling (50\/1<\/a>) recorded a career high 18 goals in City\u2019s title triumph last season. There\u2019s also value in Roberto Firmino (28\/1<\/a>) or Sadio Mane (50\/1<\/a>), as Liverpool\u2019s front three work as a unit, rather than an individual. It\u2019s unlikely that Salah will replicate last year\u2019s heroics, but his teammates stand a strong chance.<\/p>\n

A note too for those playing for clubs outside the traditional top six and Jamie Vardy (40\/1<\/a>) found the back of the net 20 times last season and will be relied upon by Leicester for goals.<\/p>\n

Premier League Relegation Betting Tip<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Last year\u2019s relegation battle was pretty tight with the bottom half of the table all in danger in the final few months of the season. The last few seasons have seen one team that\u2019s far worse than all the others in the league and that team could be Cardiff (2\/3<\/a>), who are favourites to finish bottom.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty of value elsewhere in the relegation market, with Watford (19\/10<\/a>), Bournemouth (9\/2<\/a>) and Southampton (7\/1<\/a>) all fairly good picks to go down. Watford have been treading water in the Premier League ever since they were promoted and they\u2019re a fairly mediocre team who don\u2019t look much better than their rivals. The same can be said for both Bournemouth and Southampton too, who haven\u2019t really strengthened and could be in for long seasons.<\/p>\n

Which team will not finish in the top 4?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With there being six big clubs in England, the race for the top four is always hotly contested and all will fancy their chances. Chelsea (11\/10<\/a>) missed out last season and they could miss out again if they fail to keep some of their big-name players at the club. If their Community Shield performance is anything to go by, then they could face a real struggle against some of the top teams in the division.<\/p>\n

Arsenal (2\/5<\/a>) are a complete unknown this season. After finishing outside the top four for the last two years, Unai Emery has replaced Arsene Wenger as manager and it\u2019s unclear as to how good they\u2019ll be. They should though, be far better than they were in previous years and the chances of them putting in poor performances in big games are less likely than they were under Wenger.<\/p>\n

The other team who might struggle to finish in the top four are Manchester United (23\/10<\/a>). Not because of the lack of talent in their team, but because of the behaviour of their manager. Jose Mourinho\u2019s mood has been particularly unpleasant in pre-season and there are similar signs to the ones that happened in his final season at Chelsea. It\u2019s third-season-syndrome at Old Trafford and they could come unstuck here.<\/p>\n

Premier League Top 10 Finish Prediction<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Most promoted clubs set their sights on just surviving in the Premier League, not Wolves (10\/11<\/a>) though. Based on last season\u2019s performance, they were better than a number of Premier League clubs and they\u2019ve now got an opportunity to show everyone how good they can be. They\u2019ve recruited well and should be a serious force under Nuno Espirito Santo this season.<\/p>\n

The other club who many are backing to finish in the top half this season is West Ham (6\/5<\/a>). The Hammers have overhauled their squad and with Mauricio Pellegrini in charge, they have a manager with real pedigree. They\u2019ll play some attacking football and should be better than the rest of their mid-table rivals.<\/p>\n

Tottenham vs. Arsenal Match Bet \u2013 Who will finish higher in the Premier League?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Arsenal have had an overhaul this summer, with Wenger leaving and some new signings coming in. They\u2019ve almost gone under the radar in terms of what they\u2019ve been doing and could surprise many by finishing in the top four. They\u2019ve strengthened the spine of their squad. A new goalkeeper, a new defender and a holding midfielder have all arrived. They may not be the flashier signings that many expect, but they\u2019ve needed some solidarity to combine with the flair. If Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette start scoring, then they should finish above Spurs this season.<\/p>\n

Spurs (2\/3<\/a>) haven\u2019t signed anyone so far, but they haven\u2019t let anyone leave either and they\u2019ve been mightily impressive in recent years. They\u2019ve finished above Arsenal for the last two seasons and with Harry Kane leading the line, anything can happen. This year could be the one where they struggle though and I expect to see a return of St. Totteringham\u2019s Day at some point.<\/p>\n

First Premier League manager to leave<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This is always an interesting market to bet on pre-season and there\u2019s plenty of value in it. The current market leader is Jose Mourinho at 5\/1<\/a> and if he continues with his misery and moaning, then there\u2019s a good chance that this price could plummet. Watford\u2019s Javi Gracia (13\/2<\/a>) is another one to look at. The Hornets have a track record of sacking managers and if they find themselves struggling early on, then the Watford board won\u2019t hesitate to make a decision.<\/p>\n

However, one manager that could find himself in trouble very quickly is Claude Puel at Leicester. Like Watford, Leicester are ruthless in dismissing manager and the Foxes lost their last five games at the end of last season. They\u2019ve also sold star player Riyad Mahrez and there were rumours of a split dressing room. They have a tough start to the season with games against Manchester United and Liverpool in their first three and they could find themselves in a tricky position come the international break.<\/p>\n

Who will finish bottom of the Premier League table?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s hard to look past Cardiff (9\/4<\/a>) to finish bottom. No one expected them to get promoted and they haven\u2019t been majorly active in the transfer window. Their incomings have been Championship players and they don\u2019t have a recognised goal scorer in their ranks, midfielder Callum Patterson was their top scorer with just 10 last year.<\/p>\n

Huddersfield (9\/2<\/a>) are second favourites in this market, but they\u2019ve spent money in the window and although they might not survive this season, they won\u2019t finish bottom. An outside bet could be Newcastle to finish bottom at 22\/1<\/a>. If Rafa Benitez stays for the entire season, then this almost certainly won\u2019t happen, but if he leaves before the end of October, then such is the situation at the club, they could spiral and finish bottom.<\/p>\n
